I am certified in Ashtanga, which is an amazing yoga practice that helps me create unique sequences for my Vinyasa classes. I teach a Mandala (a circle around the mat) during my classes, which means you can expect to face every which direction in the room as you flow. I love to give opportunities to grow in your physical practice and also your mental practice. Each of my classes has a theme or a thought that I present at the beginning of class that I hope can translate off the mat as well. I especially enjoy getting to meet the yogis in my classes and learn more about them and their journey through yoga. I would love to see YOU on the mat! Back in the LAB...This was by far the most intense workout YTD...Mental vs Physical Strength💪💪. My physical is ready to give up...My Mental is saying we haven't scratched the surface...They begin to go back and forth...Your body is tired and broke down...why push forward??? My Mental says, you've never given up...Your children are watching and they will not see you break no matter what...so suck IT up and let's get this done. Physical...we don't see the end in sight. Why not just settle here...Mental...if we settle then we're just average... subpar even..... I've never been average or so subpar a day in my life so, pray, plant your feet firmly, keep your head held HIGH, shoulders back AND WIN. IT'S REALLY THAT SIMPLE.. Today's scripture.. Day 2 of #dare2barechallenge with a Journey to body love
As a girl that blossomed pretty early on, I wasn't very comfortable in my skin, but as I grew older (and hopefully wiser) I have learned to embrace my body in all of its stages.
In my adult life I have been 20 lbs heavier and 20 lbs lighter. I love my curves, stretch marks, thick legs, muscles, and folds.
I hate when people put themselves down because of the way they look. Ask anyone who knows me... I will tell them to get out of their own heads, and to remember that everyone looks good naked 😉
It's always embarrassing to see pics of myself teaching! I love the view of the yogi's, gosh, last night with all of their hands up towards the sky and at their heart centre, I couldn't help but tell them how beautiful they looked. I hope they heard me with that mic 🎤I wore 😉 What no one saw was at the end when we sealed the practice with our hands together and heads bowed, after I said Namaste, I cried to myself. The tears of emotion of leading this group through asana filled me with so much love that for that moment my heart overflowed. That is yoga. Sometimes with practice a dam breaks open and new emotions can flow through. It's an amazing experience that can only be felt. I still feel it today. Starting to cook again 😊 First day I didn't eat eggs lol. Slowly beginning the process of becoming a vegan. Slowly...// Sautéed and curried garbanzo beans, broccoli and mushrooms. Sprinkled with garlic, pepper and soy sauce. Fresh tomatoes on the side ((summer fresh))...and all under a few bucks! #budgethungry
