Here's @hankatbarles in action with #Vrschikasana or #ScorpionPose in handstand...
It has amazing health benefits: -Increased blood flow to the brain to improve memory and concentration.
-Very calming, and helpful for reducing stress and anxiety. -Releases tension and stress that may have accumulated in the shoulders.
-Good for opening and balancing the anahata (heart) chakra. -The ultimate yoga posture for promoting happiness and generating energy, because it combines an inversion's benefits of increased blood flow to the brain with the stimulating and invigorating effects of backbending.

Our chakras show us where we are avoiding, where we overcompensate and where we are completely shut down. They tell us not only the story of our past, but can predict where we are heading. We are so excited to be hosting Terri Cooper @manifestingmofo as she leads a Chakra Journey. Join us through a yoga practice, intermediate breath work, reading/writing and group discussion as we come to understand, balance and heal our 7 chakras. April 14-15 at @yogajourneystudio
Have you guys checked out @bluemagicbry and his YouTube channnel, #PhoYourEyesOnly ? 🍜👀👌 Follow along to see the rest of the amazing drone footage from @fusionresortnhatrang captured by @birdseyeviewprojects. ••• This pose is "hot" triangle. It's usually taught in hot yoga classes (or on hot beach yoga classes 😜) It's practiced with a bent knee instead of a straight one and works to strengthen the thigh muscles. Zoom in for a closer look.
Yesterday I ran for the first time since October 30 (I had to check the app😜) and my time was 13:58 for a mile. Yesterday my time was 13:00! I guess I've been doing SOMETHING right these past 5 months😉. I was SO proud of myself👏🏾👏🏾. The run wasn't easy or pretty. It was slow and not to
mention I need new running shoes😂. The run stopped being physical and started being all
mental after 0.25😂. I wanted to stop so many times and just go home but I kept telling myself that I could do it (had to repeat this a million times) and I did it!! I came home and ended my night on my mat. I was grateful for my body showing up but staying in the background in order to let my mind take over (with positive thoughts, of course🙃). It was a gratitude filled day💕. P.S. I see a few more 5k's in my future before 2017 concludes🏃🏾👟🙊.
Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow. " - Mary Anne Radmacher
Day 28 of the Woman am I yoga challenge is here and today's asana is eagle pose or Garudasana. Eagle pose is actually a challenge for me and lately I have been practicing it more and more knowing that with practice all is coming. There is something about the compression and internal rotation of the hip that my body is not getting yet. I know my Eagle pose will soar one day, and so I practice.
Begin in Tadasana. Bend your knees. Shift your weight into the right foot and ground down. Find a Balance on your right foot and cross your left thigh over your right. Find your drishti, gaz ing at a point in front of you. Hook the top of your left foot behind your right calf or bring your right toes to the florr or a blockon the outside of the right calf.Balance for one breath.
Extend your arms straight in front of your body. Drop your left arm under your right.
Bend your elbows, and then raise your forearms perpendicular to the floor. Wrap your arms and hands, and press your palms together (or as close as you can get them). Lift your elbows and reach your fingertips toward the ceiling. Keep your shoulder blades pressing down your back, away from the ears.
If your palms don’t touch yet, press the backs of your hands together or hold onto a strap or your shoulders.
Square your hips and chest to the front wall. Draw your belly in and up.
Gaze at the tips of your thumbs. Breathe smoothly and evenly. Repeat on the opposite side to find balance.

You are beginning to understand, aren't you? That the whole world is inside you: in your perspectives and in your heart. That to be able to find peace, you must be at peace with yourself first; and to truly enjoy life, you must truly enjoy who you are; and once you learn to master this, you will be protected from everything that makes you feel like you cannot go on, that with this gift of recognizing yourself, even when you are alone, you will never be lonely.
