I just want to say..... do what makes YOU happy!!!! I've been told by so many that if I keep lifting heavy, I'm going to gain too much muscle and look manly. At first I used to listen to that negativity, and I would never put up weight... until I realized.... I love pushing myself, I love to see how much I can lift and reaching new limits.
And to all the women that lift heavy out there, don't be afraid to "look manly" strength is sexy! Do you think Wonder Woman worried about gaining muscle and appearing "too strong" NOPE!

One of the greatest challenges for me has been dialing into my nutrition. I have a lot of bad habits especially when it comes to over indulging in some treats.🍦🍩 (Ice cream is my favorite food) I ate "healthy" 80% of the time but still listened to my "treat yo self" voice a little too much. I noticed I was feeling a little lethargic (which for me is whack) and I wasn't progressing with my lifts like I wanted to. I have some big goals, and I knew that some BIG changes needed to be made if I ever want to achieve them. Knowing it requires a team to accomplish dreams, I reached out to my friend @kaitbrierley (3 x games regional athlete and member of @teamrcfone who are going Madison this year!! - yeah she's badass💪). I was really nervous at first to start dialing into my nutrition (What if I slip up? Will I fail? Seriously, why is calculating macros harder than long division?) The moment I started working with Kate my worries disappeared. She has been amazing!!! I no longer feel completely lost and overwhelmed. She eased my worries and helped me realize that nutrition is all about finding what works for you! I have been fueling my body with over 2,000 calories a day and my macros are broken down into 245g of carbohydrates, 120g of protein, and 65g of fat. 🍤🥗🍗🥒🍒🍓🥑And we are just beginning!!
The picture on the left is from May 6th of this year, and the picture on the right is from yesterday! Just over a month of work together and I am feeling better than ever and I can't believe the results I am getting. Consistency is key and working with Kate has kept me on track and progressing 💪 Her patience, guidance and advice has made all the difference in my training and I'm so grateful to have such a great coach in my life! If any of you out there are feeling a little lost with all the crap that's out there, I highly advise reaching out to Kate! Thank you again coach!
