Exercising with an eating disorder: how do we know what's good for us, vs what may be damaging our health? There are so many medical and psychological variables involved with exercise and ED's, that it can often be tough to grasp. Some signs of exercising more than our bodies and minds can handle include experiencing heart flutters, dizzy spells, having constantly sore, tight muscles and finding calluses on our tail bones. We may treat exercise as the number one task to complete in the day, and if we miss a session, we may feel guilty and make up for it next time. Furthermore, we may cough lots after a workout, and we may find it difficult to have the energy to do other tasks in our day. Remember, exercise should ADD to your health - not TAKE from it.
