That's what my health has given me. What losing 45 pounds, getting in the best shape of my life, feeding myself whole food nutrition and daily superfoods has given me. So was it worth the investment? YES! I would make this investment 10x over if I knew what a difference it would make in my life.
So WHY are so many people afraid to do the same? So many would rather spend money on material things like new clothes, a night out at the bar, a couple pizzas, Starbucks every day, a new tattoo.
I want you to get real with yourself and think about all the things you spend your money on. How many of those things make an everlasting, positive impact on your life? Sobey's vegan haul! 🍍Also not pictured I also got spinach & greens💪🏼🍃Vegan cookie dough🍪 and some cereal! ...I also found some dairy free donuts in the frozen section which I thought were vegan, read the ingredients or so I thought and bought them all excited to try em but then realized: "whole egg" 😫💔🍩 Yes I make mistakes too but at least I didn't eat it! And will just return them next time I'm there or if I can't for some reason - I'll give em away....Always a good idea to triple check the ingredients 👌🏽📝
🥕CARROT🥕 DOGS 🌭🌭🌭
Peeled and shaped 🥕 into sausage shapes and boiled them for approx 10 mins. Then marinated 🥕 for approx 12 hours covered in the fridge (either cover with a tea towel or use a container with a lid ➡️😊 no need for plastic!) in 1/4 C 💦, 1/4 C 🍎 cider vinegar, 2 Tb🍷 vinegar, 2 Tb tamari, 1 ts garlic powder, 1 ts ginger powder, 1 Tb paprika, 1/2 ts black pepper, 1/2 ts ground coriander, 2 ts mustard seeds (ground) and 1-2 dashes of liquid smoke (the secret ingredient 😜). After marinating "fry" in a non-stick pan with some of the marinade for approx 10 mins. Then fill with whatever you please ➡️ we had the choice of baby spinach, cherry 🍅, 🍆 (cooked in the non-stick pan), fresh 🌽, zucchini noodles, mashed 🥑, homemade hummus, caramelised onion (cooked in the non-stick pan with balsamic vinegar and garlic powder) and lots of sauces (mustard, 🍅 and 🌶 sauce). Served with no-oil chippies 🥔🥔 (top tip ➡️ put a dish of water at the bottom of the oven to get the crunch without any oil 😜). Week 1 I was finishing a 3 week workout program and CRACKED DOWN on my nutrition. I was in my element today at the @veganstreetfair 🙌🏽🌿😍 Had the bestttt time with my best friends and tried the most amazing food ever. Some highlights included samples of PB&J and kale cookies n cream Icecream from @eatbychloe, @nellys_organics bar samples, cinnamon cashew almond milk, and tumeric ginger juice from a local juicery. And finally, pictured above the stuff we actually ordered! I finally tried @yoga_urt and it was as amazing as expected 🍦 I got chocolate and limited edition caramel apple pie flavor which were both unreallll- topped off with half cacao nibs half choc chips! We also had the BEST jackfruit tacos ever that were the perfect snack- topped with cabbage and chipotle veganaise from @plantfoodforppl 🌮 And last but not least- split the most DELISH vegan sushi burrito that was filled with sweet potato, pickled cabbage, avo, cucumber, and a sweet n spicy sauce rolled in nori from @zumo_zuzhi_burrito 🌯 CANT WAIT TO GO BACK NEXT YEAR!
I may not have been down in LA. And I may not have been able to go to the @veganstreetfair ...... BUT I did get to go back to my 2016 Vegan Street Fair Favorite @nom_eats up in Reno, Nevada. And I ordered the Buffalo Mac & Cheese Burrito 🌯 there is no question as to why they named themselves NOM eats! Nom Nom Nom. Today was such a great day! We went on a spontaneous walk along the coast and saw so many whales 🐋! It was so warm and not rainy for once here in the Bay Area. As many of you know I battle with severe anxiety disorder and I swear, getting out of the city helps me so much (and being vegan has helped so much). Not every single day is great, but there is something great in every single day. Practice happiness. 💙🌴🤘🏼🌞
🌱🍲 I mix all kinds of foods together and call it dinner 😁 I bought these cute little purple bananas that have been getting my attention and I just knew they'd be perfect to make #guineitos en escaveche 🇵🇷 traditionally it's made with green bananas but these cuties tasted super good 🙂 I paired them up with zoodles (drenched in #sriracha garlic/ginger/agave sauce)and pinto beans. I love wrapping the zoodles in the seaweed snacks! Randomness pairs up well 🤣
