The books [Tillotama] borrowed from the local library, and bought from the English bookshop, imparted an exhilarating sense of the changes that were taking place across India and the world. 'There is so much to be discovered,' she thought wistfully. 'So much to be seen and heard and experienced. But not for me.' - Chapter Six: Go Forth Without a Path, Things to Leave Behind by Namita Gokhale
Join us to get a peek into the rest of the book at Tarayana Centre, Thimphu at 5:00 pm on Wednesday evening where the author will be introduced by Tshering Tashi. Namita will also be discussing the other books from her Himalayan Trilogy: The Book of Shadows and A Himalayan Love Story.

Happy Saturday! We were at the Great Buddha Dordemma or Buddha Point, overlooking Thimphu, Bhutan.
The Buddha stands at about 50m, but is fairly new, just completed in 2015. It's construction actually fulfills a prophecy that a Buddha would be built on that site and would bestow blessings, peace and prosperity to the entire world. Wow! 🙏🏼
