Something I get asked a lot is how do I keep myself motivated to go to the gym and eat right day in, day out. Firstly I wouldn't really call it motivation, it's more a case of discipline and habit. I don't wake up motivated to run to a gym every day. But I use discipline to create a routine to stick to. It's hard at the start but once you make yourself stick to a routine for a while it becomes habit and it's not that hard to exercise and way right once it's habitual. Motivation will only take you so far, discipline is what creates solid daily habits. -

As well as that you have to somewhat enjoy what your doing, can't force yourself to do a sport you hate and eat foods you hate on a daily basis. Find something you enjoy for the most part (powerlifting for me). -

Another thing that helps is setting goals for yourself to work towards. Or else you may feel aimless and can easily justify not going to the gym. Powerlifting meets, bodybuilding shows, a strength goal, an aesthetic goal, a holiday.....anything will do but just have something to work towards :) -

Lastly having people to be accountable to can help; friends, a training partner, a coach, a team etc. You might not want to let them down and it can make you stick to your plan and work harder. -

That's just a few things that can help you stick to a consistent plan and enjoy it 🙂

Morning caramel lattes will always make life better 🙏🏻 I feel really lonely on here as I have lost all my followers and friends; I'll try hard to add you all again! I'm off to a spa today for two treatments and I'm so worried about getting my body out in a bikini 🙈I think I'll just hide in my robe until I need to take it off in the room - but I am going to treat myself to a back massage and a facial 👌🏻🙂 followed by a night in at my friends with cocktail making and nibbles. Going to do my best to remain positive despite the terrible body image that constantly is looming over me 👊🏻I figure it's not going to go away any time soon, so instead of caving in and restricting I'm just going to try and push past the nasty thoughts and remember I am worthy and better than anorexia - and so are you ALL!

Two bowls, each containing just 40 grams of oats but one has significantly more volume. Food volume is one of the MOST important factors to take into consideration while trying to achieve effortless fat loss/weight loss. I won't ramble too much about it because it's decently foolproof - the more food in your stomach, the fuller you feel. The trick is finding foods that can be eaten in high volumes for little calories.🥒

Here is a brilliant example of how you can do that. I've added half a grated courgette to oats in order to bump up the volume of food I can eat for basically the same amount of calories. Two bowls, each containing just 40 grams of oats but one has significantly more volume. Food volume is one of the MOST important factors to take into consideration while trying to achieve effortless fat loss/weight loss. I won't ramble too much about it because it's decently foolproof - the more food in your stomach, the fuller you feel. The trick is finding foods that can be eaten in high volumes for little calories.🥒 # Here is a brilliant example of how you can do that. Don't let the snuggly jumper fool you; I DID my Insanity training this morning and I did it fasted too, just to gauge what works best for me. And honestly? Fuelled with a black coffee and some BCAAS I actually survived and live to...insane another day ☕ Pretty sure I've pulled a muscle in one side of my groin, around the Jesus lines (Commonly known as 'V lines' but I'm a good Catholic girlPAHAHAHAHAHA good joke), so tomorrow I'll rest, and Monday I might too. There's a difference between pushing yourself to test your limits - trying out Insanity while fasting - and punishing yourself - forcing your body to perform despite a pulled muscle because you're terrified you'll lose progress. I used to punish myself all the time, and sometimes I am still guilty of overworking because I'm scared of being inadequate if I don't. These days I'm learning more and more to trust my body, use what works for me and to not feel terrible if I can't do what someone else can. This cut isn't just about 'seeing abs' or getting leaner (although hey abs if you wanna pop out just a bit that would be top), I'm also using this time to work on my functional strength, my stamina and my agility. Weight training will always be my favourite, but getting better in my weak areas is just as rewarding. Don't punish - push yo'self, love yo'self ❤

So I was in Tesco earlier , I popped in after the beach to get mum some wine and flowers for Mother's Day, and I saw this... I have never seen it before and so I thought I would try it for morning snack. Yup, that's my best attempt at a split 😆 and for now, this makes me super happy! Because I know how long it took me to get here 😥 my hips can actually touch the floor with my left leg forward, but unfortunately, while shooting this, I pulled a muscle 😏 so can't practice that till it heals.

Today was LISS, steady pace walking for 45 min at 6.5 km/h. In between I got bored, so ran twice for 5 min each at 9 km/h. I justified it in my head as testing my new running shoes 😀😀
