I'll be honest and say I've not fed my spirit so well the last few weeks 😕
Does it make a difference for you? Can you tell when your spirit is not getting fed? I can! Even 10-15 mins in the morning helps my day go smoother. Is it always a good day? Definitely not! BUT I am better equipped to deal with life's stresses.
So it's not only important to nourish your mind and body but your spirit as well! Feed your soul! 👊🏼

Can you say INTERNAL STRUGGLE this morning?!😩 so many reasons to skip my workout and sleep in this morning but THANK goodness for that darn dog. She forced me to get up and I was just able to squeeze my workout in before everyone woke up at 6:30. (We're going to need to have a chat about summer morning wakeups!) If I had skipped my workout, would it have been the end of the world? No, it's happened before and I'm still here! Would it have been more likely that I'd sleep in and skip tomorrow too? Possibly. One of my strongest motivations is the group of ladies looking to me to lead by example and to check in to tell them "I SHOWED UP, DID YOU?!" Accountability is so POWERFUL!
That, and I know that when I start my mornings with quiet prayer time and exercise, I seem to be able to better respond to the things that come my way throughout the day. Does that mean on days I exercise I'm Mary Poppins and my kids are angels, HECK NO, but I can imagine my reactions being much less loving and patient. More like Ursula (as my daughter has called me before 🤷🏻♀️). Giving the day to God, asking for His graces and getting my heart rate up are the best CHOICE for this whole crew❤️ When are YOU going to make the CHOICE?
PS today's workout was Insane Weights so I thought I could wear a cute, loose, floppy, open backed tank I got. Silly me, this is @shauntfitness and even strength training involves jumping around and ALOT OF sweat 💦
