We asked 23 successful and professional photographers from Instagram, who have a total of 3 million followers this question:
If you could go back in time and give your beginner photographer selves 1 piece of advice, what would it be?
Here’s what @jonathanzoeteman with 53k followers said:
. “When starting out, look at lots of photography by experts in a variety of styles. While nothing beats the process of learning while doing, giving yourself a wide range of inspiration will begin to train your eye to see the world through the eyes of the greats. By looking at numerous styles, the combination will allow you to naturally combine the best elements that stand out to you in your own work.
Creativity is ultimately the act of pairing disparate things, and by intentionally choosing your inspiration from a range of works it will kick-start your creative process.”
