Added 1/2 teaspoon of matcha to my @nutrifitprotein mint choc shake this morning, along with frozen spinach 🍃, a couple tablespoons of oats and 200ml of @alpro cashew milk...YUMMY!! I got stuck in my house this morning as the council decided to chop down a tree 🌲 and block my exit with tree branches - I took the time to sit in my pink chair, drink maaaa shake, watch them, whilst plotting my escape obvs! #legitexcuseforbeinglate

Everyday 3 000 of our children are killed or injured on our global roads and this is despite the simple measures that can be put in place so that they are protected. My daughter, Zenani would have been celebrating her 20th birthday in June this year - I wonder how many of us really think about the impact of road death and injury; on our country, our communities and especially on our families? How many parents will never get to celebrate their children's birthdays, or see them matriculate, graduate, get married and start families of their own? How many of us know that together and as a collective (policymakers, ordinary citizens, governments, countries, organizations and etc), we can actually do something to protect our children's lives as they make use of our roads? Our children are relying on us to take stronger action towards safeguarding their lives, they still have their whole lives ahead of them ... My daughter, Zenani was killed by a speeding drunk driver just 2dys after her 13th birthday in June 2010. I've never understood the, "Time will heal," or, "You need to mourn your daughter's passing so you can move on," notion ... My reality and that of all families who are continuously robbed off their children as a result of road death or injury as a result, is a violent and unnecessary one - the wound of losing a child is one that never heals, you don't simply get over the passing of a loved one so, "Dealing," with the loss has no bearing on the number of children who are still killed and injured on our roads. What does, is action ... A speed of more than 30km/h is a death sentence. I'm thankful for the opportunity to honour the memory of my only best friend (Zenani) and our children who have been hurt and tragically killed on our roads, by campaigning for the protection of all our children. I'm honored to have been given the opportunity to support the launch of the Speed Vaccine campaign in Jamaica. Happy 7 months to our huggable little guy! He still loves to eat, although he gets distracted very easily. He sleeps through the night and wakes up like a chatterbox. He loves to play his "piano" and in his saucer. He is sitting up on his own and is recognizing his surroundings more. He loves to "march" with assistance and gets mad when we stop. Hopetoun Rd was Cockatoo heaven today until I took Rudi for a walk to see them. Instead if watching them squawk and eat I witnessed five of them get hit by speeding cars. I waited with one poor guy until the ranger arrived. He said he would have to get him euthanised. My signs were too late for them today 😢
