➡️How to handle the 18 month Sleep Regression:
💤Be patient. As hard as it is – the best thing you can do is wait the sleep regression out.
💤Stick to your routine as best as possible. As much as you can, keep their bedtime and naps in their bed (a consistent place to sleep is key), implement an early bedtime, keep up a regular routine – and stay with it.
💤Don’t do anything drastic. Even if your toddler seems extremely resistant to naps, dropping them altogether is not recommended. This will likely cause your child to become even more tired and cranky and even more resistant to all sleep.
💤Consider sleep training. If you’ve been struggling with sleep issues for a while, chances are it’s because you may need to implement a little bit of sleep training and it’s probably not due to a regression.

Although I loved seeing my sweet students today, I am seriously worn out! I woke up at 3:30 worried I would oversleep. Heavy lidded glances every five minutes until my alarm went off ensued.😴 Now I am tired and all I want to eat are tator tots! Golden, salty, crispy tots. They were my go to snack when I was tired. Thinking fondly back to my carb-a-palooza evenings and knowing this is not something I want for myself now.
