My remedy for sleepless nights :
1⃣valerian root (natural herb that causes drowsiness)
2⃣melatonin (pineal gland hormone that regulates sleep) 🚫don't take valerian and melatonin at the same time, do separately. melatonin for mild effect and valerian for strong effect.
3⃣cannabis indica (natural plant for relaxation)
4⃣yoga nidra (guided meditation) ✨
I get my supplements at the grocery store, marijuana from dispensary because it's legal here, and yoga nidra meditations can be found on YouTube. I got my cd from a yoga studio. ✨
Using the bathroom a lot overnight? More than once nightly is called nocturia; it's annoying and steals good sleep! There are ways you may be able to reduce it. 1️⃣ limit fluid 2 hours before bed to 8-10oz 2️⃣ limit alcohol, coffee, and tea at night--they cause an urge to pee 3️⃣ insomnia, sleep apnea, and blood pressure meds can cause nocturia 4️⃣ weight-loss of even just 5-10lbs can help 5️⃣ see your doctor or a urologist for some help. We hope you get some 💤
Typically, after about six months, your baby is probably ready to start snoozing straight through the night without a feed, but age isn’t the only factor at play. Here is one of the things to watch for when deciding if it’s time to pull that night-time feed.
Eating solid foods
Breast milk metabolises quickly, and so does formula, to a lesser extent. That quick turnaround time can leave baby feeling hungry after a few hours, and leads to night-time wakings in order to quiet their rumbling belly.
Solid food, on the other hand, digests rather slowly, and leaves baby feeling satisfied for longer. (Note: If you’re still breastfeeding, you’ll want to take steps to keep up your milk supply after you stop nursing at night.) You may have heard that baby will sleep longer if you add a little cereal to her bedtime bottle. Well, she won’t. In fact, for babies under 4 months, it can make them gassy and poopy and just don’t do it.
