Rani's LIFE STORY: Before my pregnancy we were trying for a baby for 2 years, we both had ourselves checked by the doctor & nothing was wrong but we experienced difficulty and decided to go down the IVF route. At the time we were asked a lot of questions like ‘don’t you want to have a baby yet?’ and ‘what’s wrong with you?; it put us under a lot of pressure. We kept the first round of IVF to ourselves and didn’t tell anyone, keeping it discreet because of the stigma attached to it. We started meditating as a couple to cope with the emotional stress of the treatment. The first round didn’t work which really upset us. We continued with the meditation with our friends, did early morning simran and started a sehej paat and focused on more spiritual outlets. We focused on ‘what is meant to be will be’. We had 3 rounds of IVF but they were unsuccessful. We decided now this was the right time to take Amrit together. Over the next 8 months I took on more holistic therapies flushing out all the drugs from the IVF out of my system & I went for acupuncture treatments to balance my body. In January, Gupsy and I decided to go for Yatra. We both started changing our way of life. In April we went to India and had the most amazing Yatra experience of our lives; I felt liberated and free from so much! As a woman, taking Amrit has been so freeing, the social expectations of looking a certain way eg. doing my eyebrows etc. and conversations around vanity were diminished. When we came back I was ill for weeks. I went back to the acupuncture therapist explaining that my period hadn’t started. He advised I take a pregnancy test. I went home & took a test a week later. The result was negative. At my following treatment he recommended I take it again. I said no, Gupsy got his hopes up last time and I didn’t want to put him through that again. When I went home, I actually found an unused pregnancy test in my draw, so I figured why not, I’d try again but just wouldn’t say anything to Gupsy in case it was negative again…The test results were positive. I was so surprised.. **read more about Rani's pregnancy @ Facebook.com/sikhingpositivity** #sikhingpositivity#mentalhealth#sikh
All religions should be respected! 🙏🏼Nankana Sahib; a city of high historic and religious value, and popular pilgrimage site for sikhs from all over the world. Also birth place of Guru Nanak Dev Jee born in 1469.😊 - Such a beautiful place to visit, The pictures and videos doesn't do justice with the place, and it's sad that I wasn't allowed to take pictures inside the shrine. 😫😭 #pakistan#beautifulplace#nankanasahib#sikh#history#religion#pakistanindia
