Something that I've been playing around with during my bulk is different types of tricep exercises. It seems that movements like close grip bench, skullcrushers, and dips are useful for building mass, while pressdown movements like in the picture above allow for more solid contraction work. Give your opinions on the matter below, spread the knowledge!💪🏼
#fail#motivation for next time. Tried 8 plates on the hack squat today and got it off the bottom but couldn't get locked out. Probably pre fatigued the quads too much before with the full stack on leg extensions for a couple sets and did a drop set before this. But 7 plates went up too easy so had to try it. Just pushing my limit

But I'll talk a little a bit about why we have to challenge ourselves, force ourselves out of our comfort zone, scare ourselves.
During this holiday I did all three. I hadn't been snowboarding since I was 15 (and 70lbs lighter), so I had no idea how I was going to cope- you don't see many 100kg snowboarders 🤔. I was with a group of friends who are all experienced on the slopes, so I had no idea how I was going to keep up with them. And scared? I was scared of injuring myself (or worse for added drama) 😵.
However, I'm a categorical 'doer', and I love this shit. Bodybuilding is a lifestyle, and I live it for sure, but I certainly won't let it define my life, and neither should you. We can't afford to, because there is a lot more to life than a set of dumbbells or a six pack. Getting injured would've set me back in my journey to my goals, but I would've gotten on with life and gotten back to my passion as soon as I could. .
On a slightly deeper, more general, and more important note: life is pretty scary on the whole at the moment. The sickening and senseless attack Manchester is the latest example and we're being warned another attack could be imminent. But we must cautiously smile in the face of hatred & danger, stay strong, and allow life to roll on. It goes without saying that my thoughts are with everyone affected, and my admiration goes out to everyone who has done anything in their power to help. .
