Look at this absolutely gorgeous animal these beautiful creatures have been around for over 400 million years!! Yeah I know that's some crazy stuff but all these buttheads are killing the sharks just for their fins😞 shark finning is a horrible thing a 100 million sharks are killed a year and 73 million are killed for their fins yeah I know disgusting ain't it! We must save the shark!!!! #nature#beautiful#naturerules#sharks#stopsharkfinning#sharksrule
This picture I am really fond of... To really enjoy it, you have to stare at it in the dark. I call it "the midnight sun" eventhough it was taken at around 4pm in yhe Arctic. By manipulating the exposure, I tried to simulate the feeling you would get in this part of the world in the summer; a never setting sun that just revolves over the horizon! This time mother nature rewarded us with a beautiful ring rainbow adorning the sun. 👍🌲🌲🌲👍
Taken with the KTP18 Trigger Pole and KSD6 Dome.
Words by @sharksneedlove “Bimini is part of the Bahamas and this association greatly benefits our oceans sharks. Why? Because the Bahamas is a declared shark sanctuary meaning it is illegal to target and/or kill a shark in these waters.
The variety of shark species found in the Bahamas is impressive, from 28cm nurse sharks to pregnant great hammerheads and 4-meter tiger sharks. The healthy shark populations within the Bahamas is why this country remains one of the top, shark diving hot spots of the world!📍
To capture this shot the KTP18 Trigger Pole was used. The pole provides the chance of a close up pic as the narrow pole offers that extra reach without invading a sharks personal space.”

#tbt WARNING Long Post:
Ever wonder what a Dynasty looks like? Well here it is! This is a photo from our 3rd Consecutive YMCA national championship. Now I know I talk a lot about "the glory days of college" but I am throwing it way back to when the Sarasota YMCA Sharks were the Apex Predator of high school/club swimming.
We weren't the biggest, we weren't the fastest but we knew how to work! My freshmen year we narrowly failed to make the podium. From that year on we made it our sole goal to win every year. Every set, every practice we raced each other and pushed one another. Everything was "F.T.T. For The Team". Out the three National Championships, the third was my favorite and most important to the team. My senior year our Head Coach, Larry Shofe, passed away. It was devastating he was the heart and soul of our program. He knew how to push you past whatever level you thought you couldn't do. I know first hand because when I first started I could barely survive a practice and by the time I was a senior I had qualified for Olympic Trials and earned a swimming scholarship.
Our third National Title was for him. It was my favorite because everyone knew that. Even with the odds stacked against us (2 key relays disqualified for BS reasons and a false start in the mens 1650 which would have crushed a National record) we prevailed. One of Coach Shofe's favorite events was the 4 ×200 Relay I was honored to not only swim on the relay all three years but to anchor it my senior year breaking a National record along the way! #tbt#Dynasty#sarasotaymcasharks#nationalchampions#recordbreakers#sharks#swammer#swimminganddiving#3peat#igfitness#igfit#igfitfam#crushshitdaily#sarasota#Florida
