We read The Girl With All The Gifts by M. R. Carey and Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer and lo, here's Episode 4: It's About Fungus.
It'll really grow on you.

Dan telah kuwariskan
Pun telah kuhidangkan
Judul: Aster untuk Gayatri
Penulis: Irfan Rizky (@irfansebs)
Desain sampul: @megapuspitap
(Halaman 84)

Don't choose what's right over something wrong
Don't choose coming up short over going too long
I want your ass to be indecisive
I want them legs to be divisive
And then sounds to multiply
Don't make me choose between breasts and rubbing on them thighs
Don't choose between what's real and something that's fake
Don't choose to give when you know I like for you take
You say you like when I take command
Whenever you supply it, I'll be there to meet your demands
Give me anything or give me nothing
Since I don't have anything left to give
All future relationships are no soap opera
You were my one life to live
Now I can be young and restless
Better yet reckless
Better yet steadfast
I can't blame myself
I only blame the outcome
Since all signs led to this, I just wanna know how come
Hearing the truth ain't easy, easy, easy

From the barrier islands of South Carolina to a lake in North Carolina and a hospital ship on the Atlantic, the infected dead have destroyed the population of the world. People band together, some who travel down the road toward death and some who make decisions that keep them alive. This is the story of the Mud Island survivors who have a plan to save a small part of humanity. Living in a shelter that is the dream of every survivalist, they find they must venture out into the world once again to help a lost friend, braving not only the infection, but fallout from a nuclear reactor, and the groups of survivors who will take from them everything they have, including their lives. #ireadya#booknerd#bookstagram#RT#readingclub#bibliophile#booklr#igbookclub#bookstore#ilovereading#indiebooklounge#bookperks#currentlyreading#readinglist#youngadult#indieauthors
"There is a small monster in my brain that controls my doubt. The doubt itself is a stupid thing, without sense or feeling, blind and straining at the end of a long chain. The monster though, is smart. It's always watching, and when I am completely sure of myself, it unchains the doubt and lets it run wild. Even when I know it's coming, I can't stop it."

"As a leader your job is to do everything in your power to create the perfect conditions for success by benching your ego and inspiring your team to play the game the right way. But at some point, you need to let go and turn yourself over to the basketball gods. The soul of success is surrendering to what is."
This book really dove into why Phil Jackson is such a legendary coach. I have so much more respect for him after reading this book. The methods he used to elevate Jordan and Kobe to greatness are very rooted in Eastern Philosophy. I am from Los Angeles, I am a Lakers fan, but I didn't fully understand the genius of Phil Jackson. This was really inspiring and eye opening. Also he references some books that I will definitely be checking out in the future. Read this, especially if you are a basketball fan.
Hai guys! Selama beberapa hari kedepan aku bakal mereview novel Mr AB vs Miss A 99% biar ga penasaran baca blurbnya dulu ya -
Kim Sang In (Mr. AB. Penyiar. Mahasiswa. 20 tahun.) Hong Ha-Rin? Kisah Rin. Mungkin, ini takdir. Selalu kembali padanya, menjadi pelengkap dalam hidupnya.
Hong Ha-Rin (Miss A. Penyiar. Mahasiswi. 20 Tahun.) Kim Sang-Jin? Dia sahabat. Sahabat. Sahabat terbaik dan berharga. Memangnya kenapa jika dia selalu ada untukku? Sepeti itulah sahabat, bukan? Bagaimanapun, Jin bukan lelaki yang boleh kucintai, ini kisahku, biarkan aku yang menentukan kepada siapa aku jatuh cinta. Bukan kalian.
Kenapa harus mencari cinta yang jauh? Jika ada cinta yang bertahan di sisimu.
Jangan sampai kelewatan ya!😊😊
Our triggers to our impulsive behavior are the result of the many facets of our environment. Our phones go off and we automatically look at the screen instead of who we're talking to. A coworker we dislike starts instigated us and now we're annoyed for the rest of the day and forget what causes it.
Becoming aware of these triggers is PARAMOUNT. How we respond can determine whether we return a positive or negative response. And as we all know, that can lead to very different consequences. Change is hard. No matter how urgent or clear, not knowing what to do ensures we won't do it. And as a day progresses with more decisions needing to be made we become more and more depleted caring less and less. Making worse choices (like a bad dinner when you're trying to diet) we are superior planners but inferior doers.
But we can fix this through asking active daily questions that we create ourselves and hold us accountable. No one wants to fail a test they themselves have created. By asking yourself a set of active questions at the end of everyday and keeping a 1-10 scale, we can see what *WE* are doing to better a situation not scapegoating it on others.
Instead of asking passive ones like "did I make positive relationships" which we can blame our environment instead try "did I DO MY BEST to make positive relationships". This ensures that we go all in. And by keeping a daily tally we can see in a given week how much effort we've put it in and can focus on the small daily goals instead of finish line.
By incorporating this daily question list you can create more awareness and engagement with your day as well as self discipline and control. And by being more engaged you give yourself that real quick but potent breathe of a moment between an impulse and a behavior to decide:
Am i willing, at this time, to make the investment required to make a positive difference on this topic?
By asking that simple question before making a choice and always choosing 100% your best, you will be incredibly surprised the effect you have on your environment and those around you. Try it out.
I can't believe I spent the first thirty- five years of my life avoiding orange. It's my best color. I'd try to wear pastels-- I'm an autumn so not the best idea -- and look all jaundiced. Wisdom comes with age.
Something (someone) else I've recently discovered? @pepperbasham, who writes the most swoony heroes. And kisses.
I'm calling it research.

First things first 🔎 There are SO many new crime books out today -- I wrote a blog post recommending my top 4 picks from today's new releases!! Direct link in my profile 👆🏻 I'll also be doing an Instagram Stories mini review series on these picks tonight, so stay tuned!! 🤓🖤
I also picked up a new psychological thriller -- DARK SATURDAY by Nicci French 🕵🏻♀️ this book releases 7/11, and though it's part of a series, I'm going to be attempting to read it as a standalone! 😉 I'll be sharing more details about this title tomorrow - but I'll give you a little teaser... this book follows a psychotherapist who is asked to assess a young woman who was arrested 10 years ago for brutally killing her family. 😱 •
Have you ever read any of the Nicci French books? I'd love to hear from you!!! 🔎 (Also - fun fact, Nicci French is the pen name for a husband & wife writing duo!)
