- MUSIC MONDAY -
Whenever we listen to this song - like a musical time-machine - it transports us to an undivided Punjab
This week's song is fairly short, and we'll admit to our human error in that one verse from the song was accidentally left out; because we are human, and we are prone to making mistakes

"If there is one God, then there is only His way to attain Him, not another. One must follow that way and reject the other. Worship not him who is born only to die, but Him who is eternal and is contained in the whole universe."- Guru Nanak .
The Golden Temple Amritsar India (Sri Harmandir Sahib Amritsar) has a unique Sikh architecture. Built at a level lower than the surrounding land level, The Gurudwara teaches the lesson of egalitarianism and humility. The four entrances of this holy shrine from all four directions, signify that people belonging to every walk of life are equally welcome.
Within the space of a generation, our ancestors went from being rebels barely surviving within the jungles of India to become the Kings and Queens of the very land in which they were hunted.
Beginning with nothing, they were able to simultaneously subdue the might of the oppressive Mughals, Persians and Afghans to become the strongest and most respected power in Asia.
They were known as those who fed the hungry, gave shelter to the homeless and provided defence for the poor.
They bowed before the same Guru we bow to, they recited the same Bani which we recite, they chanted the same Naam which we chant...so how is it that they were able to accomplish so much whilst the same doesn't seem to be true for us?
How is it that, starting with nothing, they came to become makers of kingdoms whilst we still argue over a kingdom which doesn't exist?
If the Guru is the same, the Bani is the same, the Naam is the same...then what's the difference between us and them?
Well it's simple really, they acted upon change whilst we simply wait for it.
Be the change.
