Nope, not today... it is just too hot! I always complained how there is no real summer in Germany and now that we got the temperatures around 35 °C I can't really enjoy it. In the pregnancy as you know the basal temperature is a bit higher than usual. For me this means that I feel ok until the temperature reach 26 °C - everything above is torture! BTW: I drink over 3l water / day otherwise I feel unfit and get edema.
From March: right before getting pregnant to #17weekspregnant 🤰🏻 I will be the first to admit that pregnancy has tested the healthy, positive body image I've gained the past few years. After working through unhealthy mindsets about eating in college and after... I FINALLY gained healthy habits. Eating 5-6 meals a day, drinking more and more water, not restricting myself but eating well 80% of the time. When my body started expanding from pregnancy I had those bad body images come rushing back😳I'm here to say that if youre feeling that way/ have felt that way; youre not alone! This is just another journey to get through while continuing to make healthy choices! Continue to remember you are beautiful and your body is beautiful. You are currently creating a little miracle inside of you🙏🏻 Give yourself some grace!
About to embark on my trip to Conway, AR for a class on the Fundamental Topics in Pregnancy and Postpartum Physical Therapy. I'm so excited, but it's my first time away from Mack overnight. We've never been apart this long, so please pray for our family. Also, if you see Blake just give him a pat on the back since he's single dad this weekend. Shout out to @___ashdenn and @savannahcoonnut for babysitting this weekend!!! #mackriley17#womenshealthpt#workingmom#blessings#pregnancy#allthebabies
NOW & THEN / / For all the days you feel like your pregnancy will last forever, try to embrace the little kicks and your beautiful expanding body, it'll be over in an instant. ✔️
We are super passionate about helping women on their Mama journey... which can, at times be quite challenging for all of us 😔

THE DAY I MET YOU - blog link in bio
So many of my girlfriends have experienced child birth this week, it got me thinking about my experience and thought it might help someone through sharing what happened to me.
I remember feeling the size of a house, I had fantasised so much about what our little girl would look like, I just couldn't wait to meet her. I was 4 days over and had a booked induction locked in. The night before she was born we had a lovely family dinner, I made pumpkin soup for everyone and had spent majority of the day on my hand knees cleaning the grout of my tiles lol. #crazynester ! Like as if the baby was going to notice the grout! After dinner Tony and I headed into the hospital, the drive felt like hours and the nervous energy was peaking! Uncertain of the journey we were about to undertake, haha if only I knew I would have turned the car back around and kept baking out little darling. Just kidding, we couldn't wait to meet her, but seriously nothing prepares you for what we were about to go through.
We waddled, I mean I waddled into the hospital only to be greated by the love staff @Pindara who reassured me and talked me through the application of the induction gel and what I should expect to happen. I admit it was scary and the unknown of was about to happen, was daunting. The gel application was uncomfortable and the pain kind of took me by surprise. They told me to try and go to sleep and I remember laying there thinking 'are you crazy' I'm about to meet the love of my life, no way am I going to sleep! Instead I wrote a letter to my daughter, what I imagined she would look like, my hopes and dreams for her, our love story and about how much we wanted and love her. Sometime after being drowned out by my thoughts and my husbands snoring lol I fell asleep. Only to wake a few hours later to the beginnings of labour. It was sharp uncomfortable pain. **link in bio #childbirth#mother#labour#love#goldcoastmumma#goldcoastmum#gcmum#maternity#pain#love#happiness#birth#birthstory#labouroflove#pregnancy#childbirth#goldcoast#family#babygirl

June is Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy (ICP) awareness month. I wasn't going to share my personal story but I thought it might save a life or help a struggling mama. When I was 32 weeks pregnant with my baby girl, I started having intense itching at the palm of my hands and soles of my feet. I attributed it to weather changes and use of hand sanitizer at work. The itching worsened to the point where I couldn't sleep and all I wanted to do was rub a cheese grater against my skin. I turned to Dr. Google and there it was... ICP... A disease I never heard of even working in the medical field. I literally had all the symptoms and just needed a blood test to confirm it. I frantically called my OBGYN who was trying to reassure me that I probably didn't have it because it's so rare. Sure enough, my blood test came back positive and I was started on medical treatment immediately (meds and frequently fetal monitoring). Due to non reassuring signs during a routine NST, baby girl was born at 36 weeks and 3 days, only 24 hours in NICU for low sugars. To all the mamas with ICP, I know what you're going through. I have been there. The crazy itching, the sleepless nights, the meds, the doctor visits, the poking, the prodding, the researching the internet and coming across heartbreaking stories and pictures, but most of all the FEAR of having a stillborn. This picture was taken in the NICU, its proof that there can be a happy ending to the story. Just hang in there mama, and remember YOU are your baby's biggest advocate. Push for repeat test and revaluation of treatment if needed. Thank you @icpcare for all the knowledge and support, I truly feel I was able to save my baby from the information, encouragement, and advocacy the organization provides. #icpawarenessmonth#icpawareness#cholestasis#icp#cholestasis#cholestasisofpregnancy#pregnancy#nicu#fighttheitch#fighttheitchsavealife
