I want to say something but I'm not sure what and you're waiting, youre looking at me, your gaze is piercing yet it reminds me of laying on the grass at 5:45am, the grass, cold and wet below me as both me and nature waits for the sun to embrace the horizon, somewhere along, I can hear the crickets and the birds, the tranquility of the moment dips in your eyes.
Looking at you I can not help but be cheesy and mushy and just poetic, you just tug the poet out of my soul with your index finger, with your looks, with your existence, the words are natural and float in the air around us, but at the very same moment, my throat is blocked but not really, so I look at you for a fair moment, the softest freckles make a path across your nose and your cheekbones are not so harsh but visible, I look at the way your hair only few strands fall on your forehead in a careless manner, I see the dip of your collar and your ears, the softest, one could just caress them.
I can only imagine what you would look like laying on the grass as the sun thaws on your skin, I know you laying there would give a good challenge to the dew on the grass, the sun would ache to touch your skin more than the dew on the grass or the grass itself.
The poet, is very much awake and I feel lucky for you are the one to softly wake her up, as if to tell her, the sun is here, off you go, the sun awaits your words, your sweet sweet voice, as if your voice is dipped in honey and petals. In today's world, there is a lot to stress about to be honest and that is pretty sad and of course I get stressed as well but there is one thing I have been practicing for a month now, I actually wanted to try it for myself properly just to be certain that it works.
So here is what has been a stress relief for me lately and that is water gazing, do it for 10 minutes or something, really depends on you, I usually do it for 20 minutes( I know, pretty long time for just looking at the water) but it works, so worth it.
I want you to look at the water & do it rather privately just to have a quiet moment and during those few minutes, try to block out all other sounds and focus on your breathing and the water, I usually do it with a cup of water, but if you can go to a beach, that is fine too, if you can go to a lake, all the more better, just find a quite spot near water and dwell in the tranquility of the water, watch it move extremely slowly and again like I said focus on your breathing and the water and soon the voices in your mind will fade to the background, where they're more or less a whisper, try to extract what the water is saying to you and embrace that.
People often say, drink water when you're upset, cross or just stressed and we all know that stress and all these negative emotions do have an impact on us physically so drinking water helps to reduce that, hence I just thought that gazing at the water would have an impact on our feelings and emotions to some level, much like stargazing but not entirely.
One must realize how bad stress is for us both physically and mentally and we need to find healthy ways to cope with our stress and the negative energy that we sometimes intake, unknowingly.
Having said that, have a good day ahead and remember to love yourself.
This tree is a beautiful example of many of our lives. At first glance the tree looks dead, but as long as it is still rooted to the ground this tree will eventually produce leaves, however it will take a bloody long time for this to happen. If you are still ALIVE and fighting for what you truly believe in, something is bound to happen. 📷 by yours truly @ajpapa_1
