Happy Sunday! Today is #WorldBookDay and so I share this excerpt from 'The Book of I Am' by Joel Osteen. ALL of you are masterpieces, but others will not believe it if you're not the first person to see that in yourself. #PSA 😘
Good Day Everyone
Today, our Pastor, Rev. Dr. Marilyn M. Harris, gave the Sermon entitled:
She had us focus on the small, three letter word BUT, which is a conjunction that is used to introduce something contrasting what has already been mentioned.
The words BUT GOD are the Divine Conjunction.
Acts 10: 38b-40-they put him to death by hanging him on a tree, BUT GOD raised him on the third day.
The 2 words BUT GOD becomes a mantra that strikes fear into Satan, because Satan knows that if we can say BUT GOD, we will continue to go forward in our lives because we know that God has something more for us.
Genesis: you thought it was for evil, BUT GOD meant it for good.
Ephesians: BUT GOD, being rich in mercy, made us alive together with Christ.
Romans 8: BUT GOD demonstrates His own Love towards us, that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
-My Heart and my flesh may fail, BUT GOD is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
-One plants, the other waters, BUT GOD makes it grow.
BC Days=Before Christ
BG Days=BUT GOD days
Even though we are saved, we live in a sinful world and we are imperfect, BUT GOD will make a way out of no way.
-Perhaps plagued by an illness, BUT GOD said that all sickness is not unto Death, but to the glory of God.
Romans 8:28-BUT GOD says all things work together for the good of those that are called according to His purpose.
-More than 44 times in the Bible, the words
BUT GOD appear.
When we get stuck, open up The Word and get some traction by saying: BUT GOD will make a way somehow!
Each day I try and pick a new positive #affirmation from my #lifelovesyou card deck. It's good to set intentions and let the universe guide you on your merry way. Look for signs, they're everywhere. #positivevibesonly
We all have something that "bothers" us about our appearance! For me, I've always been self conscious about by forehead. But every little (or in this case big 😜) piece of me is me! I love me! All of me! I'm not perfect! I'm just perfectly me 😘
Today's sermon hit home! 😳 I was in my feelings but I'm not gonna let that take me back to who I was! In the spirit of transparency I was once one of those women who felt they didn't need other women in their life. I think we have all experienced women who were catty or was more of a frenemy 😒 God placed on my heart to let go of that and make a sincere effort to make friends and put myself out there and I am grateful to have made some new ones (you know who you are 😘) but a few days ago I had to remember the lesson I always have to teach my youngest (she's super friendly and loving) and that was everyone doesn't want to be your friend and that's okay nor does it mean something is wrong with you! So no need to climb back in my hole, I'm just gonna continue on and be me bc that's all I can be and I am grateful for the women who have said hi, shared a word or commented and befriended me. We all need each other, some in small ways, some in big ones and I encourage you to give a smile, a hug or make a nice comment to another woman today, she may just need it and you may just make a friend! ❤❤❤ #friendshipismagic#girlpower#positivevibesonly#mysisterskeeper
