We designed the prototype to fit a standard pallet. It had to take up as little space as possible when disassembled and still be sturdy enough to serve as a workbench for woodworking while demonstrating products on exhibitions. We went for a dinner table design and made the top serve as a box containing legs and bolt when dissembled while the shelf serves as a lid.
The frame and legs are made from 2x4's, the top is made from particle board and the shelf inside is supported plywood. All covered in oak. The rails to hold the sides are made from hardwood and folds in and out.
The prototype was tested and worked well and we just had to make two more like it.
This handsome #pine piece was damaged beyond repair in our 🌊floods last year...or so we thought! It's still sturdy, just a little off color with some splits & cracks. The transformation is underway with #fusionmineralpaint in Pebble...and the best part is still to come! 💁🏻 Finished product will be shared later in the week & should be available at Chaleureux by the weekend.
Meanwhile, don't forget to register for our upcoming #workshops to learn about the unique features of this fabulous, durable, zero-VOC paint! Link in bio.
