Day 24 ⏰📿🙏🏻 #AMinuteADay with @cyogalab and the sponsors @elementofsri and @livesankalpa with #hollowback variant in #pinchamayurasana ⏰📿🙏🏻..
Chose this version with my legs and forearms since I could hold this comfortably for a minute and longer ☀.. and it was so good to feel how I could open up my chest even more at the end.. really heart opening 😍☀❤️..
All in all my shoulders feel pretty weak and sort of tired the last few days (no pain, just weak ☺), so I'll give them what they need and it was this forearm version.. never forget to listen to your body all you beautiful souls out there 😘🙏🏻💫..
Forearm fun #yoga4growth @koyawebb @ladydork. Sponsored by @aloyoga @toesox @liforme @sunwarriortribe @getlovedup! 💓. Slow bits are real time, fast bits are 6x here.

Optional storytime. I love this posture because it connects me to one of my earliest teachers, Maggie, who I found back in NJ at work out world (😫👎🏾 WoW, who wouldn't let me out of my student contract despite having moved to Florida, but that's another story for another day). Anyway, Maggie was a lovely, dainty redhead who taught vinyasa at the gym, and Ashtanga at a nearby studio. I remember the first time she did this pose in class, it looked the very definition of effortless. Then I tried it, and my face met the floor. Arms too wide, kick too fast, Gravity said, Nah B. So I filed it away under poses only the teachers do to remind us to keep practicing. Remember this is way before @instagram, so you only saw cool poses in magazines or books with pictures of older dudes in speedos. Anyway, fast forward a few months ahead, she instructs this pose again. She says, imagine you have a third arm, perhaps a baby's arm, holding you up from the center of your forehead. I just about fell over giggling. Then I visualized that baby arm 💪🏾 and it helped me hold the pose. 👍🏾 So my advice to you, is if you fear a faceplant, push out of your shoulders and visualize a tiny arm pressing you up at your third eye. #yogamagic#coolstorybro
Breathe and let go of the idea of "I can't." It's natural for our ego to interfere with our yoga practice, but the greatest accomplishments are achieved when we are pushed out of our comfort zone. @tchi125 has inspired me to go deeper into my yoga practice by pushing me out of my comfort zone of backbends and vinyasa, and focusing more on my inversions, #PinchaMayurasana especially. Inversions are not my strong suit, however, much of yoga is about challenging yourself and finding your edge 🙏🏽✨✨✨

Thanks for this challenge😘😘😘

Little forearm nighttime play for #forearmfriday 🙌🏽 Still working on using my core to close the ribs. It's not perfect, but I remember the days I wished I could hold this away from a wall. #practiceandalliscoming Good night! 🌛🌟
Today is Day 23 of the #yoga4growth challenge and this my attempt at #pinchamayurasana aka #forearmstand . As you can maybe see from the photo, I placed a strap around my elbows since they just wouldn't do right by me without it 😩. I'm proud that I tried my best even tho my shoulders were saying "no more Kami!" 😂
