Those papers and book were manuals on how to use Finacle. They mentioned the basic functions, how to operate Finacle and the list of reports relevant for the various points of the audit report. There were screenshots showing a step by step flow of the software.
I couldn't digest it for a while. To say that it was disheartening would be an understatement. I felt betrayed. Why didn't he give these to me before sending me to the bank? Why didn't he tell me about these when I called him and told him that I didn't know how to operate the software and he should suggest a feasible solution? I wanted to ask him so many questions. My head felt heavy.
I couldn't hear his voice beyond a point. My heart sank. I didn't know what to say to a man like him. I wondered what he was going to do if he came with me to the bank. He was still saying something. I snapped out of my thought process suddenly and tried to pay attention to him. He said, "Don't worry *, we'll fight them. We have the power of the pen. Go to the bank and make a solid audit report. When this report reaches on top, they'll learn a lesson".
"You're spineless!", I wanted to say but I stood up quietly and left. I should have expected, he was an impotent dickhead. He was never going to take a stand for me. All he could do was bully a 20 year old kid who feared him. I reached the bank and placed all the papers on my desk in an attempt to understand them. "Hello", a soft voice whispered from the side. I looked towards the side to see a tall man towering over me.
P.S. Sorry for the poor picture quality. I'm not in India and I don't have my regular phone.
