You can probably guess that I love my beer, yet I only started trying craft stuff when I met the manfriend. Last weekend we were in Newcastle and the manfriend persuaded the group to go to the @brewdogofficial pub. Was not disappointed - they even served the #tacticalnuclearpenguin but I didn't have the guts to try it. I had a half of Vienna, which was one of their small batches. Everyone was very happy, but at 1am they just cracked on the lights and turned off the music without a last orders call. Will try and go earlier next time so I can try at least two! 7/10 (purely for lack of last orders!) #brewdog#brewdognewcastle#newcastle#agranddateout#date#datenight
The perks of the job.
Leading up to my first ever Masterclass this weekend and my fridge is slowly being filled with the most amazing food.
It's pretty cool to just have bone marrow butter and Paté on hand to slather on spelt sourdough. It's rich brain food and 1 slice goes a long way.
The kids had a whole tub of Paté with veggies sticks yesterday as a snack, it makes me so happy seeing them enjoy it and literally lick the jar clean 😘
Marshmallows, bone broth and cultured berries and still to come this week.... I think that will be a nice day too 😆💜
Masterclass is 10-3:30 at @esntlingredient The Junction there are just a couple of spots left before its fully booked so if you want to come and be nourished all day long then come and join me.
Call them on 02 4926 1991 to book your spot.
START TODAY ✨Making the most of my monday morning to plan for the week ahead. It can be so easy to fall into the mindset of overwhelm, or feeling disorganised and so I like to put pen to paper (yes, old school I know! 🙊) and map out the upcoming week.
Does this mean I only stick to this and don't allow myself to go with the flow, that every part of my life needs to be planned in advance or scheduled?
No way! I'm learning to be more fluid, more intuitive to my feelings and thoughts and I'm actively working to honour and develop that side of me.
But it's all about balance 🙌
I find that things actually 'flow' better for me when I've got a framework, a bit of a plan.
When things are scheduled in they are more likely to ACTUALLY happen, because you've started a commitment to that action - meditation, walking your dog, studying, seeing a friend for coffee, whatever! - just with the simple act of writing it down.
Sure, life happens and things don't always work out as you had planned. You might have to work late, or take care of a sick bub, or just not FEEL like doing something! But overall, spending a little time looking at the week ahead could very well be the way to achieve that sense of having things 'together', to feeling like you're making the most of your days, doing the things that you really WANT to do & realising there IS enough time with the help of some careful planning.
Oh, and a slight addiction to cute stationary may help a bit too! 😝
