I just LOVE that I can take my workouts with me anywhere I go! .
This morning it was a 25 min, no equipment needed, t25 workout with a view of the Washington monument and my sleeping husband! .
It is seriously amazing to know that my workout is complete and I won't have to find time in our busy day of travel and birthday parties and packing my son up for Boy Scout camp and other work around the house! .
Workout is done...I am a sweaty mess...and now it's room service time! πŸ˜Šβ˜•οΈ

As I laid in bed this morning I ran through all the excuses as to why I should skip my workout - then I hopped on insta and saw that @alyssa_bbgfit got in her #fullbodyfriday & it motivated me to get up & get it done!! Week 1 is in the books! I didn't do my LISS sessions this week, but I think completing all 3 resistance days is a solid accomplishment for my first week back 😊 happy friyay everyone! πŸŽ‰

Danny had conditioning camp this morning so we had to be in Hamden at 6:45. So I got my tush over to the Hamden YMCA and used their weight room with my workout playing on my phone!  Such a better use of my time than playing games on my phone waiting for him to be done! ....

It's Friday!!! Who has big fun awesome plans this weekend?!?

Just because we are going into the weekend does NOT mean that we can just stop our workouts and meal planning...that being said I need to get back ON my meal planning with vacation prep it's hard to think of EVERYTHING we need AND meal prep and plan it can be exhausting...so make it easier! .
Have your go to snacks of fruits and veggies on hand and make simple meals each night! Summer is fun but exhausting so remember to give yourself grace! You don't need to over complicate the meals or workouts! - 30 minutes a day
- clean portion controlled meals and snacks
- daily dense nutrition shake
It doesn't get much easier than that! .
Now throw back the energize and kill that morning workout!!!

THROWBACK THURSDAY

For years I battled with binge eating, and negative self-talk, and even after I would lose weight, I still didn’t feel worthy of any of it so I would self-sabotage my success and end up back on the hamster wheel of restrictive eating and binge eating.  My mind was obsessed with the number on the scale.  That number determined my WORTH.

I knew that I did not want to live the rest of my life trapped in my negative thoughts. This needed to change and I was the only one that could do it.  I needed to start loving myself for who I was and know that I was worthy of so much more.

Today, beyond the weight loss, my biggest transformation happened on the inside! It wasn’t easy, it took a daily commitment to myself and my journey.  Accepting every day that I was exactly where I need to be and every β€œfailure” was an opportunity for me to grow. 
If you tired of being where you are and are ready to starting loving yourself and the skin you are in. First and foremost, you need to start BELIVING in yourself!  Are you going to be stepping outside your comfort zone?  DEFINIETLY! But believe me, the dedication, the effort, will be WORTH IT!

Accept where you are right now!! So often we feed ourselves with negative talk. I'm guilty of looking in the mirror and picking out all the things I don't like. That's not helpful though!! It's not helpful to beat yourself down to achieve change. It creates an unhealthy mindset and we end up seeking a body image that we are never satisfied with because we rewired our brain in the process to think we are never good enough. 
Stay positive in your mind. Love yourself where you are at! Accept you are an amazing human and that you are flawsome! Look in the mirror today and reword that self talk!! Find another level of you so you can dig deeper and push through! βœŒπŸ’•

Then Caroline πŸ’© and needed a new diaper... Life will throw punches at you, you just have to learn how to roll with them and push through! There's never a perfect moment to do something. You simply need to DECIDE what you want and COMMIT to the actions it's going to take to get you there.

My tip for when you don't feel like working out- pick a different workout than the one you had planned and do that instead! It will trick your brain into thinking it got away with something and you'll still get active and feel good πŸ’ͺπŸ»πŸ’ƒ

Mental training isn't only to push you through the times when you want to stop, it's also learning how to allow yourself the recovery your body needs when it's gone through too much. Taking things a bit easy around here as I rest and recover a leg injury...but still doing what I can so I don't loose any progress. I skipped a Monday. I fully admit and am proud of it. Even amidst the insanity of the #nevermissamonday craze, I purposely rested yesterday.

Why?
1) I stayed up way too late on Sunday night, getting into our new condo and helping paint. 
2) I had worked out a lot while at the #radianceretreat2017 last weekend. With my 3 independent lifting sessions plus the kettle bell session with the incredible @jensinkler AND the power clean session with badass @stupideasypaleo, my body was pooped!
3) With buying a condo, traveling, moving, working, and coaching, my stress levels were super high.

In my past ED days, I would have forced myself to workout to *burn off* the excess calories from last weekend and strived for perfect, clean, restrictive eating to "get back on track."

Yeah, no.

Instead, I rested. I slept for an extra hour, faced the day, ate as usual, and worked out this morning. Not even close to perfect. But here's the thing. WE aren't the problem. PERFECT is the problem.

I skipped a Monday. I fully admit and am proud of it. Yesterday I tried the new Shift Shop workout by Chris Downing. It was 25 minutes and really good. I didn't have his agility markers yet so here's my markers, used kids board books! Improvise to get it done! I'm looking forward to its release in a couple weeks, today was just a sneak peek. Never miss a freakin Monday!
Now in retrospect I should have laid off the weights cause my foot did start getting sore. But I got a 45 min arm workout in today and I'm so proud of myself! #nevermissamonday was in full effect today! Not only did I get to the gym but I also did a 2 mile bike ride down to my city's cute little farmers market they put on every Tuesday night. I should of waited to go grocery shopping till then but I didn't know I'd be able to go tonight. Again in retrospect I'm doing too much for my ankle but I can't help it. Sitting on my ass is making me crazy. 
I also go ingredients to make @leefromamerica fat balls tomorrow! So excited. And I bought the banana flavored ones today from a coffee shop, sooo now I need to make those too 🀀 .
