Canadian photographer Jeff Wallace posed on this ice cave in Athabasca, Canada for scale. He said, "The piece I'm standing on, and huge wall behind me was the ceiling earlier this year. Sometime in September 2015, it collapsed to the floor sealing off the cave. An opening has emerged in the lower right of the frame, allowing folks to explore more of the cave again."

“A full moon shepherds our party along the crevasse field en route to the summit of Rainier,” writes Your Shot photographer Adam Nawrot. “Roped together, we carefully watch each step and deal with the reality that we carry each other’s lives in our hands.”
“Great composition, and great colours and lighting. This is a beautiful frame. The sky behind adds another dimension. A dimension of intense atmosphere. Are we in a violent storm? Or are we on a volcano with smoke and gas bellowing out from the crater behind. Without reading your caption, I wouldn’t know and I like that.” — @natgeo photographer Robbie Shone (@shonephoto).
