My journey: December 2015 to April 2017. A weight loss of 40+ lbs, but more importantly, I found my way to health. Sometimes you have to face the lowest of lows before you realize that things have to change. I used to have a very tough relationship with food. I went from the two extremes, barely eating, to emotional eating and bingeing way too often. What I want you to gain from this post is YOU ARE CAPABLE OF ANYTHING. Fitness is possible for anyone, whether you want to improve your mental health or physical health. From the left picture to the right, I have learned and grown so much. Nothing comes easy but if you work hard, EVERYTHING will be worth it. Food is fuel for our bodies, so just EAT and LIFT! Weight training changed my life and I'm sure it can change yours. Most importantly, do whatever makes YOU happy! ➖ Send me a message of an email if you have any questions or you want to get started on your weight loss journey! Keep up the hard work 💪🏻❤️
Since I'm not on a structured program at the moment, I've been playing around with different types of bodybuilding-style programming, which has been a nice change of pace! My basic outline for my workouts consists of three parts: the primary (compound) movement, primary accessory movements, and secondary accessory movements. .
Today's workout fell into that template like this:
•Primary: Squat (low weight, high rep since I'm still working on technique)
•Primary accessories: Front squats and walking lunges
•Secondary accessories: Narrow-stance leg press and leg extensions (with a 10sec hold at the top on the last rep)
Happy happy Friday! Tomorrow is Des Moines' first donut fest so we all know where I'll be tomorrow. 🍩👸🏻
okay so I pushed through and was able to keep running with a few walking breaks in between! I love to run but i struggle getting back into the swing of it after being out of it for so long! but i'm determined to get back to it!
First of all, I just want to thank everyone once again for supporting our movement! Our DRI Fit Tees are almost sold out. Over 100+ shirts! That's insane, especially since were doing it all from word of mouth. We have a few selected sizes left so let me know if you're still interested, we might have your size! 😎
We've been working on some summer attire, which will be coming out soon. So stay tune! -
My mom told me this morning that I was so dedicated to working out. It's true...I am. I'm dedicated to NOT being that person that was so lost. I'm dedicated to moving forward. I'm dedicated to succeeding. I'm dedicated to the process because I KNOW it works. I'm dedicated to my team. I'm dedicated to the women who trust me to help them stay dedicated themselves. I'm dedicated to living a better life! It might not always be pretty (those are some faces I caught😂) but it WILL ALWAYS BE WORTH IT!!👊🏻 #hardwork#dedication#trustintheprocess
