When is the last time that you told a Black man in your life that he could slump his shoulders to you and just be himself? 💖
We love when we see Black men giving the finger to society and just being their quirky, weird, humble selves 🤗 ▪️via @_lordevery
GOOD MEN: WE CANT HEAR OR SEE YOU
Part of the reason that
women are craving
more good men is that
the good men that already exist
are not turning up the volume
on who they are.
So they remain
inaudible and invisible.
So whether it's because
you don't value yourself,
or you simply don't know how to
boldly share yourself
with the world
and with women,
choose to do something about it.
And then do it.
The world is waiting.
"He can only get away from death by continually stepping within an inch of it. A soldier surrounded by enemies, if he is to cut his way out, needs to combine a strong desire for living with a strange carelessness about dying. He must not merely cling to life, for then he will be a coward, and will not escape. He must not merely wait for death, for then he will be a suicide, and will not escape. He must seek his life in a spirit of furious indifference to it; he must desire life like water and yet drink death like wine." From his book Orthodoxy #chesterton#courage
The fear of failure can cripple the best of us. To take a chance on what you believe in, to invest in your talents takes real courage. Doing it against immense personal tragedy is an awesome feat of strength. Andy Gurski is an incredible example to us all.
"Saint Joseph's faithfulness is the pillar of his masculinity. His spirituality is centred on love... on the just and right handling of things at all times. #Masculinity is about true charity; it is about loving in a true and selfless manner."
Thank you, Jason, for the heartfelt and thought-provoking reflections on masculinity at last week's Theology On Tap. Join us for the next one on May 9th as Ashley Dupont talks about "Theology of the Body." God bless! #tontwinnipeg
#Masculinity - defining it in this era can be a complex matter. It is both a mastery and reverence for nature/feminine - working with and not against but distinctly separate, distinctly masculine.
