Been a bit MIA, scored some cheap data so now we can spam the gram! We're in Morocco now and it's sensory overload. Donkeys to your left, camels to your right and colours everrrrrywhere! This is one of the countries we've been most looking forward to 🐫

You wouldn't immediately think of gardens when thinking of Morocco. But the Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech is one of the most beautiful and unique gardens I have visited. If you get the chance to go here, it's definitely worth it, even if only just to escape the heat!
Deep in the cactus garden is a magnificent 'Majorelle Blue' villa, the colour named after French artist Jacques Majorelle who created the gardens.
Since 1980 the garden has been owned by Yves Saint-Laurent & Pierre Bergé. Saint-Laurent's ashes were scattered in the Majorelle Garden after his death in 2008. There is a memorial for him also in the garden.
Additionally, the Islamic Art Museum of Marrakech is within the gardens, making this wonderful place a Textile Designer's dream! 😍 🌵🐢🌴🦎 Fun fact, in Berber the Majorelle Gardens is written as ⵓⵔⵜⵉ ⵎⴰⵊⵓⵔⵉⵍ how cool is the Berber language?
