"When something you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. At the end of the day all that matters is love and memories. So make sure you give it and you make them. Live for moments you can't put into words".
I haven't updated much since coming to Canada (my bad!), but we went to our first Queer Film Festival in Halifax last weekend, and it was rad af. S/O to @outeastfilmfest for the cool films and @goodrobotbrew for that gluten free beer and to @stoometzphoto who didn't expose my entire face but took a gr8 picture of a bunch of QTs.
That retro fanny pack has quickly become my ultimate favorite travel accessory. It's my moms, it was one of her 1990s staples while raising two beach blonde babes in San Diego. And here it is now, getting a second life in Asia. Aron insists I call it a "bumbag" because British/Australian English gives "fanny pack" a whoooole different meaning. 🙊 No shame in my bumbag game, I wear it everywhere and it's my best friend while on the back of the motorbike as I can easily dig around for my phone maps while Aron weaves through rice fields and dodges kids with kites trailing behind them. I don't see many other travellers with bumbags (just a few middle aged men), however lots of local guys who work in tourism wear them. So when the local wheel-and-dealers see me coming with my sidekick around my waist, they know I mean business. I like to think it makes the statement "hey, no ripping me off" and I've found that when I nicely ask "maybe special price for me?" and I'm wearing the bumbag, I always get a few bucks off the original asking price of the room, or boat, or tour. So here I am, with my travel utility belt.. saving a few bucks everyday. While hopefully not looking too much like an old man. #travelbudget
Laguna Cañapa is a salt lake located in the south east of Bolivia in the altiplano of the Potosi department. It has inflow of water but no outflow. This incredible view of the lake was captured by Michael Seiden. #andesgifts#explorebolivia#worldplaces
