To be honest, I'm really tired of that mindset, that happiness is based on success, on money, on how handsome/beautiful your spouse is, on how many diplomas you have, on how much worth is your car, your house and etc. One wise man said, that these days we think with your emotions and listen with your eyes. I feel as if our daily routines and the constant rush had let us to forget the most important things about life: health, joy, food, sleep, human connection and the most important one - connection to yourselves. When we were born, someone decided what will our names be, what religion we'll follow, what our nationality will be and what mindset we'll have about the good and the bad. Later on we were forced to go to school either we wanted to or not. Society brainwashed us to believe that you're living really well if you get good marks in school, get to a highy-rated college/university, get a well-paid job and after that just settle down with someone, make a family and live happily ever after. But also you need to look great, be the best that you can be and fight everyone of in order get where you want to be. There is always a competition and rivalry. I'm so sick of people bringing each other down, feeling miserable, feeling not good enough, comparing to others, having anxiety, depression or even comitting suicide. It is all because of society's expectations and standarts. There is so much negativity and I'm trying to change my mind, so I could be kind to others, help them, comfort them because that's what we all need, we all need someone who will be there for us and will love us for what we are with all our flaws, the true us, the naked soul. Let's bring each other up instead of bringing each other down. Life is so much more than a competition or living someone's elses life just to please expectations. #kaunieciai#lietuva
