DAY 29: Got home from Sunnyvale around 8:30pm and passed out after taking a shower at 9:00pm. It was an incredibly full day and I was exhausted. I skipped dinner and could barely stand up in the shower; I fell asleep while attempting to post this photo. Chronic fatigue has turned me into a hermit, but I'm still working with my body and trying to understand these new idiosyncrasies. I know that I've posted a lot of books during the first quarter of this challenge, but it's been a relatively quiet month of much needed rest. There were so many beautiful moments of happiness scattered throughout my day, but cracking open this new book was a particularly poignant one. April is right around the corner; it's time to break away and "Live, Love, Explore."

Elliot! Ahhh, I loved the questions he had for me at yesterday's @primalorganic "work-in" session. One of my favorites? "Are you at the Jedi level where you don't let your emotions or situations rattle you?" Lol. Annd no, not quite. •
I didn't shine enough light on this awesome concept @primalorganic has going on here. Every Wednesday they offer their team of employees either a work-out or a work-in. They invite different experts in fitness, meditation and self development to share their knowledge with the team in a short presentation which they simultaneously stream on their Facebook page. Brilliant, no? A break in the work day to learn something new and support personal development. Kind of obsessed with this company. Can't wait to try their products✨
Don't make a move without consulting your God. On my website, I clearly state that in order for us to work together, you must BELIEVE. We don't have to share the same beliefs but you do have to believe in something greater than yourself.
Coaching without a spiritual element is like showing up to a gun battle with your gun half loaded. We can't do it. Coaches go where the client hides.
But what does faith have to do with coaching me in my BUSINESS? A lot. We work from the inside out and spirituality is one area of the wheel that's addressed in our course.

Think about those days of playing in the school yard with classmates and not having a care in the world. Think about that hot summer day playing in the sprinklers with your best friend. It's times like this I think about all the things I have overcome to get to where I'm going. There's nothing wrong with looking back, if you know that looking forward is the better choice. Reminiscing has its place, but don't get stuck dwelling on the past. Hold on to the good times but move forward and create great times. Great memories make great leaders. Have blessed day and pay it forward.
When I did my morning workout today, I couldn't help but look back to the time I ran my very first long distance race at #stwm . The shirt I wore this morning was a very real reminder of one thing: you can achieve anything that you believe!
5 years ago, I was in a very different place emotionally, physically and mentally. I was overweight, depressed, had no sense of direction in my life and alienated most people who cared for me. I felt alone and tired all the time. My life lacked meaning and purpose.
It wasn't until I changed my mindset and believed that I mattered in this world, that I could offer something to this world, that I could leave a legacy in this world, that things began to change. Completing my very first half marathon was a turning point for me. It was the first time that I felt free and believed that anything was possible. All my perceived shortcomings and the beliefs of my inconsequence came crashing down at the 17km mark when I hit the runners wall. My life was about to change in ways that I hadn't even imagined -
As a coach and mentor, my goal is to not only share my story and the lessons I learned but to also help people get out of those feelings of being stuck. I want to inspire people to believe in themselves and trust that they matter. Please help spread this message so that we help as many people as we can. You all matter. You all are capable of doing anything with your life. All you have to do is #believe
My internal clock is still on Bali time. Or is it? Actually I've been up for a few hours and it's my new normal now because my grandmother likes to give me messages in the stillness of the morning. I wish that stillness could be at 8a but oh well 😔. LONG POST ALERT!!! Self discovery is about embracing who you are, who you are becoming, and being honest with yourself. You just can't pick the components that fit in with the expectations of everyone around you. Be true for you. Recently some words rolled off my lips that I was nervous about sharing. I did not want to be judged nor did I want to feel the need to defend how I feel within me. Those words would impact my upbringing, shift some of the relationships I have with some of my sisters and perhaps impact my business. So I remained silent to blend in with the masses. That is until I said it twice. (Deep breath .....) I don't pray. Yes I sit in stillness. Yes I hear messages from a higher power and my ancestors. Yes I meditate for brief periods throughout my day. But I don't pray. When I shared that piece of information about myself with someone, there was silence and perhaps a bit of confusion. Perhaps the same question you have as you read these words. Why don't you pray? Trust it has nothing to do with my upbringing. I was raised in a Christian home. My great grandfather and great great grandfather were ministers and my mother is a minister. Nor was I the rebellious child. I just found ME. Yes I love me some gospel music (especially Alabaster Box by Cece Winans) and every now and then TD Jakes and Joel Osteen will share a profound message. But I don't pray.
My message to you: Be true to yourself. For years you have compromised your happiness to 'fit in' with the masses. But when will it be okay for you to just be? Be who you were meant to be. Do what you were meant to do. Live the way you were meant to live. Love who you want to love and be loved in return. You only get one life and it's a priority to live as you see fit. Подобные комплексы крайне легко увидеть. Женщины в буквальном смысле себя уродуют (здесь я говорю о гипертрофированной форме, не путать с уместной эстетикой) - закачивают неестественно большие губы, будто их равномерно покусал пчелиный рой; вставляют груди на несколько размеров больше, рождается ассоциация, как такая женщина упав с небоскреба, при приземлении отшибла себе именно грудь, или же будто она вскармливала ею футбольную команду (мужчины, а вам нормально к такому присасываться? - вечные младенцы ); лицо натянутое - сильно, такую женщину хочется обойти и поискать взглядом на ее затылке прищепку, натягивающую кожу лица!
В подобных моментах может идти речь и о тупом следовании стереотипам, но любое дозволение себе таких стереотипов - это уже про очевидные поломки в психике.
Такие женщины крайне неуверенны в себе, отвергают свое тело, думая, что вот, изменю что-то и стану красивой. А ведь красота в глазах смотрящего.. и когда смотрящий глядит в зеркало, глаза его красоты не отражают.
Может быть, если у вас есть недовольство собой, стоит заглянуть поглубже внутрь себя? Посмотреть открыто на свои комплексы, попробовать с ними поработать? Улучшить реальную физическую форму? Измениться? Стать красивыми внутри и быть готовыми красиво встречать себя и свой возраст? В конце-то концов - поднять самооценку и, возможно, для последнего ооочень хорошо над собой поработать 😉

What is one thing you are doing that is causing you turmoil in your life? How will you go about that to change your negative and stressful emotions?
I believe everyone goes through this at some time in their lives. We don't want to hurt someone. We don't want to be mean. We don't want someone to dislike us because we think differently. The list can go on and on.
But what happens to you as a person when you continue to do something for someone else and it causes so much anxiety inside your soul, and worse, can literally make you emotionally ill?
You have the right, and obligation to a healthy you, to value yourself. If something isn't right, your body and mind will let you know. Trust yourself.
You might feel sadness because of closure, but you will feel freedom once you let go of what is troubling you.
Value yourself enough.
Trust the process and trust your journey.
