Morning flow, practicing aparigraha- non-judgement. I move with the body I have, with its strengths and limitations, in this moment. I move with this breath, I move with this breath, I move with this breath. If strong thoughts or emotions rise, I let them run their course, and continue to breathe this breath, in this moment. :-)
40 day meditation challenge, day two...I realised id be only staging my photo if I looked deep in stillness! Feeling inspired by all the yoga challenges I see on instagram. For me now I need the discipline of a daily seated meditation practice, to sit with and be with me. To help change old patterns of behaviour, get more clarity and understanding and hopefully planting the seeds for a healthy new habit to grow. Meditation comes and goes alot for me, I use the 'movement meditation' as an excuse, but nothing compares to a good aul sit with yourself! I have the pleasure of sharing this experience with @yoga_with_kathryn_sheehan. My support sister 💜. #40daychallange#kitkatyogashala#practiceandalliscoming#mindfulness#meditation#yoga#yogacork#irishyogi#instayoga#corklotusyoga
#crowlanding final day. Day 8. Swallow my pride and post my WIP 😄. 3 clips. Working backwards throughout the day 🙄. Used the wall as I'm tired and wanted to concentrate on the 'landing'! Only a week ago Lorraine @catbradleyyoga got a few kicks in her lovely face from me trying to hold my handstand balance 😬 today I feel sooo much more solid in myself. I think she's safe on our next meeting 😂🤗 . Really super tutorials from all three @bowlingandyoga @stretchylexi . Never would I have got it without them. I haven't perfected it but I know and feel what needs to be done due to their direction. So tonight's post is my last effort....body's just refusing to do anymore 😂. Gave another shot after this and I'm just gone 😄. I haven't spent this much time upside down in one week ever! Haven't neglected my house this much either 😂..I feel huge progress. It's coming 👏 i am exhausted and also so glad I stuck with it. It's great to play with my practice. Have fun. Keep learning. Feel excited and crap too at times but that's the challenge and I loved it. Thank you ladies 💖....#yoga#practiceandalliscoming#yogamadness#yogachallenges#yogaeverydamnday#yogafun#yogamom#yogalife#motivation#movement#perseverance#malasana#handstand#crowpose#yogainspiration#irishyogi#namasteireland#core#yogafit#armbalance
Final day #crowlanding
Basically I took the weekend off to celebrate all things Irish. ☘️#sorrynotsorry Knew I couldn't commit 😇 It's certainly been an interesting journey. I could never manage crow to tripod without touching my feet down so the tip about coming to the forehead was great.
Thanks to hosts @catbradleyyoga @stretchylexi @bowlingandyoga

How to: Tripod Headstand .
For those of you doing our challenge in headstand, this may help 😉
Tripod headstand is not a headstand I recommend hanging out in, there is naturally going to be some compression in the cervical spine so anyone with neck or spinal injuries please avoid this one. .
The tripod get it's name from the triangle shape you make with your hands and where the head is placed. The biggest mistake I see is hands way too close to the head or elbows sticking oitwards.
Think chaturanga arms!
Start with hands under shoulders.
Slowly lower crown of head to the top of your triangle. .
Lift hips and walk feet as close to the face as you can getting hips as stacked as possible. .
Then choose your entry:
Pike : pull hips back as far as you can so your feet float from the floor. This is more about counter balance than strength. .
Split leg : lift one leg as high as you can until the other leg floats up.
Tuck : bring one knee to tricep then the other and use your pelvis to pull the hips back and eventually knees will lift. .
No matter which entry you use, use your core to finish the headstand. .
Use your glutes!
Shoulders flat to the back. Keep space in the neck. .
Elbows 90° and in line with shoulders.
Hope this helps, any questions please ask 🤓

Feel the flight 💪
I promise I will catch up on gallery tomorrow 🙈🍷😂
So today is all about feeling that connection between thighs and ribcage 😆
I've split my vid as follows: .
Malasana jumps to handstand to malasana lower. .
Key here is thighs drawing towards ribcage. .
Next drill for you to try is malasana jumps just kick those heels off your butt! .
Then try on a wall, just jump through feet from a low squat to the wall getting higher each time eventually slowing the movement to feel thighs to ribs. .
Next try with a head support. Make sure that head support is soft but firm to support your weight. .
Remember the practice is all that counts here. .
I may or may not have had wine before writing this caption so please forgive any typos you may encounter 😂🍷 It is St. Patrick's Day after all ☘😂
And whatever you do please check in with the best co hosts ever my darling @bowlingandyoga & @stretchylexi for their amazing and clever variations for today. 😘
Thanking our generous sponsors @aloyoga & @infinitystrap😍
Shoulder stretches: .
We are doing so much work on our shoulders in this challenge it's nice to show them some love. Here are a variety of stretches for you to try; .
Top: lie on your belly, take one arm 90° elbow in line with shoulder and gently roll out on to that side. .
Second row left: puppy stretch. Lowering that chest towards floor. Keep hips as close as you can in line with hips. .
Season row right: from puppy stretch one arm all the way out in the opposite direction. And gently lower chest. .
3rd row left: overhead hand clasp.
3rd row right: eagle arms.
Bottom : lie on belly and lengthen both arms trying not to lift chest..
Enjoy your evening everyone, I'll catch up on gallery tomorrow 😍
Hope these help 💚
May we count ALL the ways in which we are lucky today and make them a garland around our hearts. "Luck" and "Light" etymologically speaking come from the same root word. So when our LIGHT of awareness shines on the blessings of that which we DO have, inextricably our LUCK will grow! And that would be the Irish Yogic Perspective Yo! Happy St. Patrick's Day to ALL!🍀😘💚
