Sometimes we lose track of whats important....like being kind to yourself.
I beat myself up daily and I work so hard. Trying to transition mind sets is STILL difficult after almost 2 years....
But I still try everyday to accept this as a process and a lifestyle instead of a destination...and try to own the feeling of accomplishment instead of obsessing on what I have left to achieve.
Be proud of what your doing, whatever it may be. Own your success.
Maximum effort = maximum results.
Just keep swimming 💪🖤
P90x3 incinerator done. :)
Everybody's health journey is different so embrace what you can do, don't compare yourself to others and just do it!
Last week I hit the wall physically and mentally. I was completely exhausted which frustrated me to no end. This lead to a feeling of failure because I didn't have the energy to workout and my back was at it's worst. I tend to overdo it sometimes and always want to go, go, go. By Friday I was shot and ended up falling asleep after work and not waking up til Saturday!
With some prompting from my sweet husband, I took his advice and laid off my workouts for the ENTIRE weekend. To you, that probably doesn't seem like much but to me it was hard! Hard to sit still....Hard to accept a little defeat....Hard to believe that I used to be able to do so much more-while also having 4 little kids....Hard to accept that I'm getting older and can't do as much as I used to due to more aches and pains.
Whatever your limitations, listen to them. Find a program or exercise routine that makes you happy. If you can't do it every day, that's fine. Do it when you can but stick with it. Some would throw in the towel on the 47 days of this program that's I've already done. Not me! I took some time to rest and recover and picked up where I left off. That's how results happen!
Some snippets of various poses in today's #p90x3isometrix workout, which followed #p90x3incinerator
2 more days and then I'm I the 2nd #transitionweek leading into the 3rd and final month of this bomb ass program. I'm really enjoying it and will come back to it, but I'm really excited about the hybrid to come.
There are also only 14 days that separate me from my #summerofmacros
All macros, all summer, no alcohol, not a single bite of crap food. I'm equally as excited for it as I am dreading it. My nutrition is pretty on point all the time. But I dig my cheat days and my wine nights. Looking forward to the challenge, however, and the results that come with eliminating all potential hindrances.
After June 4th, the next time I'll taste alcohol will be on my 33rd birthday. That's going to be one well-earned 🥂
Hiiiiiiii weekend!!!!! Today is a new #day1 for me.. hitting it double (literally, I just did two #p90x3 workouts) hard after having company for almost two weeks!! My motto is #everythinginmoderation .... so when I have family here, we cook and eat out and enjoy @marty_n_jan homemade chocolate chip cookies, caramel apples from the sweet shoppe in Flagstaff, homemade butter (yup), too much guacamole and a little whiskey too! And then when they all go back home 😭, I get back to my plan and mostly healthy diet! I dropped @alyssa_harwell & @valleyhi305 off at the airport and got my last hurrah in last night at the @brothersosborne & @chrisstapleton concert 💃🏼💃🏼 with @aubs_c88 & had sooo much fun & possibly saw my future husband.. (@tjosborne) jk... but am happy to get back to a routine bright & early today!! This move is an upper body #burner ! Be sure you are in a #pike & up on your tippy toes and go for 30 seconds!!! #pushup#incinerator#teamaafn 🎶#itaintmyfault by #brothersosborne & it's my fave #jam for #summer ! @tonyshorton @ashbstarr
So the alarm goes off and I tell myself it's the weekend and you deserve to sleep in! But then my focused - determined- brain kicks in and says if you want results you have to be willing to do what other people are not.
So here I am crushing my P90X3 workout and checking it off my list of things to do today, all before the day gets going!!!! Just because it's the weekend doesn't mean we don't treat our fitness and nutrition like the weekdays!! Rest later--- hustle now!! #fitfam#fitlife#fitness#p90x3#incinerator#healthyliving#eatclean#healthyeating#evenonasaturday
So the builders are downright refusing to clear the garden, even though it's in the original spec. Blubbering (shouting) at us on Friday afternoon talking about extras they've done (we came to an agreed price and paid them) and how there's no more money in the job. Funny enough he couldn't comprehend that that wasn't our problem. Also, they still want full payment 🤔 so are the moment we are deciding whether to go to war with them or just be done with it and get them out of our hair. Recommendations? Experience? We decided to bite the bullet and start ourselves this weekend as we don't want to delay getting the garden done as it needs to be safe for Ralph. We've made quite a bit of headway, clearing all the dead shrubs and bushes up then piling the wood which we are going to burn in the evenings (everyone had their washing out today). There are some big pieces which I think we will need to pay to get taken away so might see if we can compromise with the builders for them just to take them (unlikely). 😩 #builders#buildersproblems#gardenproject#1930srenovation#1930shouse#design#mess#burn#incinerator#landscaping#progress#hadenough
Oh what a busy day! So glad my workout was done 1st thing. #incinerator#P90X3 Loved the mix of this 1. Weights with reps and then as many reps as you can cardio. I actually got 8 #militarypushups go me! LOL
