I love how many people are posting these unflexed vs flexed photos. One thing I want to point out though is that I'm 5 weeks out from a figure competition so I'm pretty lean as it is. Even though I'm not flexing in the left picture, you can see more definition than I'd normally have depending on how lean I stay post-comp. Just wanted to throw that tidbit of info out there so y'all wouldn't have an impression that I look like this year round. Because I don't...at least I haven't let my body stay like this yet year round because I love me some foods...and gains. ☺️
Despite being close to a show, you can still see how much posing makes a difference in how people look in pictures. I don't think that's rocket science. However, in the left pic, you can't see abs. Maybe a little definition, but not almosssst 6 abs like you can in the right pic because I'm twisting my waist and flexing pretty damn hard. Also, no leg definition in the left pic, but right flexed pic shows a bit of quad action going on.
I also have zero makeup on and #nofilter on this bad boy because I like looking extra fabulous for y'all 💁🏼💯😉. Annnnd I'm wearing my favorite smiley face shirt because I have a subtle obsession with smileys.
The point of this post is to show people the other side of the perfect pictures people constantly post on IG. Yes, I do post pictures that I pose in, and that's okay. 👌🏼 I just personally prefer being transparent in the world of fitness because I don't want to be the individual responsible for others setting unrealistic expectations for themselves. I'd rather teach and educate so people can reach their fitness goals and embrace their body no matter what. 🤗💜

You just don't luck into things as much as you'd like to think you do. You build step by step, whether it's friendships or opportunities .. Get up everyday with a renewed mindset, that everyday is your day to grow in the opportunities you have. Be motivated and always working towards gaining new ones ... Don't lose out with excuses and laziness. People and chances don't last forever. You have all the tools , find your niche and make each day count!
