I can't believe I clicked this picture. ▪
Next day, he wanted to know if I'll be around the coming days. I already had plans, but he insisted me to stay. ▪
Later in the night, he said - ' I see a lifelong friend in you. ' Little did I know he was getting me friend-zoned. 😄
It wasn't the forever companionship he looked for. It was more of a friends with benefits that he was looking for. And again, me being the stupid naive girl that I was. I believed he wanted my lifelong companionship. ▪
So I stayed around for a special occasion he mentioned. I made him coffee and got a mug that said P A R I S since he told me a story how he couldn't complete a trip to Eiffel tower once. The mug had a cover with a mirror at the top. I hope whenever he looks at it, he's reminded of the devil that he was. To have played with the heart of a girl, who had decided to travel solo for the first time. It doesn't mean I won't travel. But I'll be a lot more cautious. Definitely not trusting a human being again. Thanks to the cockroach I met. ▪
Let's complete the story, shall we? ▪
So we sat together in a cosy room with a bunch of self loving souls having the time of our lives. And whilst there was music and beings drowned in the present high, he asked me to dance with him. ▪
Not once did I think, and happily let him hold me in his arms and we danced. He whispered in my ears - 'stand on my feet' and I did. He swung me around giving me a peck on my forehead. Little did I know I was falling for him. ▪
We went up to the terrace and started sharing our deep dark stories with each other. He had tears in his eyes, and said.. honestly, I have feelings for you. I believed. Later, he asked me if I wanted to complete the dance we left in between. ▪
You know my answer. ▪

Sunsets are beautiful. It does not matter if it's the sea or the mountains or the concrete jungles, the sight of the setting sun is always bewitching.
Though I was indifferent to the small moments that could take me to my happy place, he taught me how to appreciate the things in life that really mattered. 'I was always running behind something. Be it a girl or a job or a car. I was always running. Then one day, someday, the orange skies caught my attention' he had told me once. 'Then you fell in love with it, realised that you don't want to miss any more sunsets and moved to the mountains' I had assumed. But, assumptions aren't always accurate, are they? ' I had realised that long back. But never felt the need to change the way things were. That day I noticed the perfectness of the scene. The memory is still fresh in my head. I had seen something so beautiful yet it wasn't that, it was someone else who attracted me' 'Huh' my reaction did not camouflage the insecurities within me. There were hundreds of questions in my head. Who? What? Where? 'You were standing right next to me. It was a busy street in this city. We were both running somewhere and we both just gave up at the same time and took a break to take a deep breath and stare at the sun going down. That is when I know things had to change', he had always said that he knew me way before we had met in the mountains. But I never took him seriously.
Today, I started to wonder if he was right. I started to remember where, how and when had we met. And how did I forget him? He was the one I was looking for, how did I miss him? Was this the same street where we crossed paths? Is he standing next to me watching the sunset along with me? Wonder! . .
Two years ago today the earth shook Nepal, leaving several hundred thousands people without homes and 9,000 dead. Little did we know that this moment on a climbing expedition would change our lives forever. Still two years later many are left with nothing still living in tents, but together we will rebuild Nepal one stone at a time.

So glad this hiker survived his ordeal.A close call.A terrible death for his companion. Well done his rescuers.🙏👏🏽👏🏽 How many times I've seen people on the mountains that have had little insight into the dangers, and poor, or no equipment.
It demonstrates the reasons why you might need a Sherpa guide or leave details of your intended destination.
The remotest I've been is on the K2 glacier,7 days walk from the nearest hamlet, and Antartica recently but it's never been without great planning, back up and a communication strategy for emergencies. #hiking#luckyescape#himalayas#mountainguides#sherpa#mountainrescue
Of all I was and that I am, had passed through a Himalayan Fission tube, I become infinite and get confused as to where is me, variables are lost here, you see.
For all intents and purposes I find.

I was." - Nischay.
