"A kind of golden hour one remembers for a life time... Everything was touched with magic."
Such a gorgeous night for a walk at the park by the bay. So beautiful & peaceful. There was an older gentleman sitting in a beach chair playing a flute...there were cheers from some teams playing rugby...a family playing frisbee...a white egret catching fish...kids riding bikes...people walking their dogs & others fishing or crabbing. Life being lived.
Whole30 shopping at Wegmans 🤗 If you're gonna have a long afternoon at the hospital, end it with a good food shop. 👊🏻 Highlights included cotton candy grapes, some compliant wild mushroom sausages and hot dogs, fun Polar Seltzer flavors, shredded hashbrown potatoes perfect for breakfast casseroles, Everyday Detox tea, 3 bottles of organic lemon juice, amongst others...💛🍋
"Things that can be done at any time are often done at no time." I've had a long, nagging to-do list for weeks so today I took @gretchenrubin and @lizcraft 's advice to do a #powerday . I did a brain dump list and then prioritized the tasks for today. #nailedit That feels fantastic *and* I still have a whole evening to read. Take that, Monday! ❤️❤️❤️#happier2017
My very best friend during childhood and teenage era were cats. From the first grade of elementary school until the last grade of high school, I had 4 cats (if daddy cat didn't include to the group since he was a wild cat in the neighborhood. Literally I called the daddy cat with the name "Bapak Kucing", he was the greatest kucing garong ever, lol)
In these pictures, my son plays with Munying, the latest cat at my mom's house.
And so here we are, our last week in Brighton. On Sunday we move to Manchester, to begin a new chapter in our lives. This photo a reminder that there is no way to measure experiences and memories in a place. Our relationships with the places we call home are meandering things, that will be forever entwined with who we are. Time to relish in this last week, but also enjoy it for what it is and not compare to any expectations we may have of it.
I love knitting but am starting to think it's often a crutch keeping me from other creative pursuits. So today for #juryduty I challenged myself to bring no knitting (which is such a big deal for me. BIG.) If you're wondering, here's the distribution of how other potential jurors killed the time waiting to be called in. (Note-no scientific method was used in this data collection.) #I 'mtrying #happier2017
"We think we're made of numbers: percentages on tests, pounds on a scale, likes on a photo, price tags on clothes, but we're not. We're made of love, happiness and the way we laugh. We're made of good memories and late nights. We have more substance than numbers."
This evening Jon and I took off after the storm to check out the sunset and was it gorgeous or what! There was fog lingering low in the hills and the most magnificent clouds overhead, these are for sure some happy cows. I am #grateful for the kind neighbors who found Midas and let him play in their kiddie pool after he took off from home, I am grateful for the rare southern Oregon thunderstorm that probably scared him away, and I am grateful for my 18 mile run that provided me with time to get lost in my creative mind. #egoeswest
I've been on vacation the past few days with my family. If you know me than you know I absolutely love legos and we happened to come across these at the Houston Zoo this past weekend. If your down that way I highly recommend checking them out #legos#happier2017#houstonzoo
