Be like him or her.
Don't stand out; blend in.
Don't ask questions.
Don't touch that, do this, be that.
Get in the box.
Our whole lives we are told to get inside the box.
Yet, inside each of us wants to be remembered. It's human nature...our mortality project.
The ones who get remembered walk upstream. Those who are different. The ones who said screw this box and burned it.
Subconsciously we know this yet we all want to be like Mike!

A couple of pics from the NZifbb pro/am 😎 I'm not going to lie, I wasn't 100 percent (or even 80 percent) happy with where my physique was at coming into this comp, and the pics clearly show the areas that need more work.
In saying that, I have no regrets about getting up on stage. Every comp is a learning experience and I now feel more confident about my direction over the next year...💃 #
This comp has really emphasised for me the need to give myself longer growth intervals between comps. I love competing, so I tend to get on stage as often as I can. Unfortunately, the downside of competing so often is that my body does not have the opportunity to repair and grow 😬 😔🤕
So... this year I'm going to spend some time listening to my body (and the great advice of some of the legends in the sport) and give myself some time to transform. I know I can bring a better package to my next comp and I'm excited for what's to come 💃🌺💃 #
Thanks to @lindashootz for the lovely pics 💗@foxxystagejewelry for my fabulous bling🌸, @flexiwear for my stunning figure suit 👙, and @asn_nz and @nutritionsystems_nz for keeping me stocked with all the essential supps to get me stage ready 😍🌺😍 #teamasn#bodybuildinglifestyle#mypassion#fitness#figure#nzifbb#girlsthatlift#guysthatlift#strength#grit#determination#valuedliving#liveyourdream#goals#vision#keepinglifeincheck#asn#nsnz#nutritionsystemsnz#teamasn
Success and material possessions only make us happy for a short while, but true Joy comes from losing yourself in the service of others which is truly the only way to live a life that is meaningful and fulfilling. I believe that Success is only temporary while Significance will outlast you. I recently heard a quote that struck me extremely hard that read: “What we do for ourselves dies with us, what we do for others will last forever.” #significanceoversuccess

Day 9– IIFYM FAQ
James, I hit my macros but I didn't hit my calories! You suck!
Not your fault, look to the government. No not Trump the FDA.
The FDA allows food companies to round their calorie totals down in order to get pretty even numbers.
So for example, this label says this food has 190 cals per serving.
*Drumroll* The math
17g fat x 9 cals/g = 153 calories
6g carbs x 4 cals/g = 24 cals
7g protein x 4 cals/g = 28 cals
153 + 24 + 28 = 205 calories!

Life; life is dynamic. Not everything is permeant. Not every mistake or failure is final.
The kid that slept on the floor in highschool; can graduate as summa cumme laude.
The kid that was the fattest in his grade; can compete in physique.
The boy that made a terrible boyfriend; can become the best husband.
The poor kid with raggy clothes; can drive a Bentley.
Nothing in life is final. With enough work, will, grit, and staying power the impossible, the can't happen.
Massive PR's from last nights chest workout.

When I first started working out halfway into my first year of college I was 143lbs soaking wet, 19 years old, young and cocky. I couldn't even bench 135lbs for one rep. Which most people consider to be the "standard" starting weight for any bench. I came into the gym cocky and thinking I was the strongest kid walking the streets until the moment I unracked 135lbs... I started bringing it down and almost choked myself to death with it 😂 I gave myself a big reality check that day and thanks to @mjayb91 I learned a valuable lesson in humility.
Through years of hard work day in and day out I am where I am now. Everyone starts somewhere, if anyone else is like me and are super hard on themselves. It's good to take a look back at where you were and where you're at now and realize how far you've come but I also realize how much more I have to work towards. New goals every day, week, month and year. As always, thank you to @stephaniekfit for always motivating me to be and do better. You're the best. I love you. 💜💜😅#ironsharpensiron#progress#couplesthatlift#flexplexcanada
