The last few weeks have been unapologetically sunny and clear, but as June approaches so does tsuyu (梅雨), the rainy season in Japan. Tho if having a bit of rain means brilliant sunsets like this, then I think I can handle it 😉
Start getting ready for the food posts! 🍴I'm here with the very talented Chef Mark McDonnell, during the Sunday Brunch at @edgemiami. It was a real pleasure to have talked to him about his culinary creations. Stay tuned to get a glimpse of how Miami does brunch! 🥂
Bolonia Beach, Tarifa, Cadiz, Spain - one of the most well-known beaches of the southern coast of Spain.
It was a windy day, beautiful none the less. It took us about half an hour dodging waves of sand lifted by strong winds to get from one side of this white sanded beach to the other, where there is an enormous sand dune, so big that you can't see what's on the other side.
Dodging more whisps of sand and wind, while digging our feet into the sand in order to make our way up, it felt like it was never going to end. It got to the point that I started running because I was so desparate to find something!
And then I saw this.
Don't go to Casablanca everyone said. There's nothing to see there they all said.
(Except for the biggest and arguably most stunning mosque in Africa maybe!!!) 🕌✨🌙 🙏🏽 #Casablanca#Morocco#ifnotnowthenwhen
Old buildings have a history and soul.
That's certainly true.
For #tbt i take you back to one of my absolute favorite cities and where i left my ❤. #Seoul is one incredible city where the past, present and future is visible.
This structure is located close to Gyeongbokgung Palace and as you can see, modern and unique buildings have found a place in the area.
It's important to remember what others did centuries ago as it is a reminder of what they went through but also be optimistic and look forward to what's ahead!
Not only i am proud to have called the capital of #SouthKorea home (where i lived & worked for 2 years), I believe it must be visited at least once in a lifetime.
The locals are super friendly, helpful and they ❤ their city/country.
You'll leave with incredible memories.
How i miss it 😢
Have you been or would like to?😉
Costa Rica, Day 2: ✨ started the day with an authentic breakfast from our lovely @airbnb hostess, then headed to explore the city center. @smokycav was attacked by pigeons 🐦🐦, while I got chummy with this butterfly 🦋at the National Museum - a great place to learn about the culture and history here. Now onto a three hour drive to Arenal 🏔••TELL ME: what's your favorite animal experience while traveling?
On top of our visit to the Inverness Botanical Gardens today we happened upon a lovely wee park full of fun for curious minds. At the entrance to the park was a sign informing us of a scavenger hunt within the park! While we were only able to locate 6 of the Gaelic words this time we will be returning to locate the other 12! The sun was blaring hot today so we stopped for some ice cream for the long walk back. After a total of 8.1 miles in the books for the day and 43.41 miles so far for the week it's time to settle in for the night and rest our tired feet!!! #sewiroam#scotland#scotlandorbust#inverness#whinpark#glt#girlslovetravel#gaelicalphabet#scavengerhunt
A few months ago someone super cool I only knew for a brief time asked me-what's the most important moment of your life? There was hardly a pause before I exclaimed- RIGHT NOW! And we both spent a moment laughing because it's so true! Shit might not look or feel so good today but you've gotta do what you can with what you've got from where you stand right now. No better time🌻❤️
After our adventures in laundering (our clothes of course) we took the suggestion of our B&B owners and wandered down the walking path to a bunch of hidden gems along the River Ness. We popped into some of the turn offs along the path to watch the river run over the rocks, saw storks and a seal playing in the river. Fly fishermen came out in droves, the sun was shining and it was HOT! Today we spent more time wondering what the yellow beast in the sky was than looking for the one in the river!!! The furthest point in our journey lead us to the beautiful #invernessbotanicgardens where we enjoyed a wonderful lunch in the cafe then ventured through the gardens at our own pace. Inside the gardens there were greenhouses with plants from all over the world, a beautiful wishing well and a pond with giant goldfish!!! Out in the gardens there was an array of local flora and many surprises around every corner! I made my wish in the well and off we went on our next adventure for the day!!! #sewiroam#scotland#scotlandorbust#adventuresofatravelinglobstergirl#adventuring#inverness#riverness @scotland_or_bust @invernessbotanicalgardens #freeadmission#donationsappreciated
i wrote this article over a year ago now and it seemed fitting for today. i was so excited to leave and move on with my life but now that the day is here all i feel is sadness and stress. i know the excitement will come but i'm not excited to say bye to my family or my friends, i don't want to hug my dog for what's more than likely the last time, i'm not excited to miss out on everything i'm leaving behind this summer but i know i will and i know i'll be okay. leaving is hard because it's not something you're ever really "ready" for, at least i'm not, but it's important to do it anyways. it's important to challenge yourself and push yourself out of your comfort zone because it leads to you such great things and allows you to meet incredible people. saying goodbye is hard and it's even harder when you don't know the next time you'll see someone or be home but it's part of it. this chapter is ending and a road trip to a new chapter in denver is beginning. i'm going to miss everyone i'm leaving on the east coast but i'm excited for all the new experience, memories and friendships i'll create in the west. see ya later ny.
