Hey hey everyone, for the upcoming exhibition next month, the grand collective in which I am a part of is looking to raise some funds. You can donate as much or as little as you want as it all goes to supporting the creative practice of emerging artists.
If you donate £30 or more, you are able to receive an exclusive original print from myself for your kind generosity.
For full details of our goal please see below and visit our Facebook page and our blog at spamartcollective.wordpress.com.
We are a group of 14 graduates from Gray's school of Art, each working in various disciplines such as Photography, Printmaking, Sound, Film, Sculpture, Drawing, and everything in between.
Our collective was established in August 2016 and since then we have produced our first zine and had two successful exhibitions in Aberdeen.
As successful applicants to exhibit at Patriothall Gallery, we are venturing to Edinburgh. The exhibition opening will be held on Friday 21st of July from 6-8pm and will then be open daily from 12-5pm, Tuesday 22nd - Sunday 30th July.
We are looking for some help in raising funds to cover some of the costs that the exhibition will incur. For example; Van rental, gallery rental and marketing costs. We appreciate any amount that can be given and no amount is too little.
We thank you for your help and hope to see you there.
Detail from Wu Jian’an, The
Birth of the Galaxy, 2012.
The Chinese Pavillion is a poetry rhymed in feathers, embrodaries, needle work and gold passing translating tradition into contemporary dynamic works. It is a succesful blend that plays softly with a lot of questions about tradition, wisdow, balance, generation, respect. Continuum – generation by generation by artists Wang Tianwen, Wu Jian’an, Tang Nannan, Yao Huifen, curated by Qiu Zhijie.
Just 20 days left of this #100daysofdotdotdot#the100dayproject and I'm starting to think about what's next. Even though I don't love all of these, I think there's value to showing them together even if briefly. Also, what to make next? I want to keep painting. Until this project I'd been away from it for almost a decade which was way.too.long. •
I have a nasty habit of overthinking things...but for now, thinking. Thinking. #plcpgharts
