Although these are important items to look out for, this post will mainly discuss the risk classifications and how my friend David accomplished a healthier cardiovascular system. 👍👍👍👍👍
Clinically, whenever a person asks if you are phyically active this can mean that you participate in cardiovascular (cardio) exercises at a moderate intensity. An easy way to remember the frequency is what some call The 3 Rule. Meaning, 30 minutes of moderate intensity at least 3 days a week for the last 3 months can carry the clinical meaning of when we say we are physically active. 👍👍👍
If you are quitting cigarette smoking, a clinical turning point is at 6 months of not smoking or exposure to the smoke. For guidelines and in the eyes many health care providers, this is when you are a non-smoker. With a tipped hat, congratulations to those of you and my friend who quit like turning off a light switch. This doesn't mean quitting this way is the best or right way, only this is the method that worked for David.
Here are some starting points that helped David with weight loss and eliminate some heart health risks.
1. Stop eating out completely.
2. Lose 1-2 lbs. per week.
3. Stop Smoking.
