Literally throwing it BACK 💁🏼😜
To be completely honest, I have gotten in a bad eating slump over the past couple of days. I have been choosing unhealthy foods & drinking the yummy, but ever so deadly, soda...BOO 👎🏼
Definitely feeling the bloat over here! 😑
Sometimes, looking back can help.
It can be hard to stay strong in those low moments...but remember
It is not how we fall,
but rather how we get back up again 👊🏼
Watching motivational videos, being inspired at an event, or hiring a coach isn’t the ‘lasting fix’ we are all looking for.
Developing YOUR habits and practices to successfully manage YOUR mind.
That’s pretty much the way I understand to make this whole thing worthwhile!
The basic premise that I have come to, consistently, after studying a LOT of different philosophies, religions, and a few wacko perspectives, is pretty straight forward: Feel Good.

I'm different from who I was a year ago. I'm so thankful for this year. There was a lot of growth in different areas, past and present.
Thinking back to 2 years ago I didn't think I was capable. I didn't think I could learn how to develop self love for myself.
Now this isn't to say I've got it down.
I'm still working on it.
I know there's still more to work on and with more time, I will feel differently.
I felt like I was doing work, but going nowhere.
I didn't feel any different and in fact I would cry or feel depressed at times working on myself.
I had to see the ways I treated myself throughout life, actions I've done, and the things I tolerated from others because I thought it was okay. I didn't have the love for myself to change these things or put my foot down. I didn't have confidence in myself which effected my life on deeper level than physically not liking myself. I faked the confidence I put out because I didn't want anyone to know how vulnerable I felt.
Then one day.. I just felt good. I stood taller, I didn't attack my reflection, I felt at home in my body, to be who I was and have my story.
Things in this life can truly break or make you, those things be good or bad.
How will you let these things define you.
I've decided I am strong.
I am a Warrior, who loves like no other, my loyalty is fierce, I will speak my mind and fight for the things I believe in. I will be the light in the dark for someone else in need.
I have been through hell and back. I have been broken so bad that I felt like I couldn't exist in this world anymore from the pain.
Difference now, I make that pain turn into strength.
Growth comes from within yourself, and trickles out into the rest of your life. I am strong, I have grown, and I will continue to grow everyday 🙏🌱

27 Happiness Hacks
LAUGH - You may have heard about laughing it’s kind of like intense smiling and if you do it for long enough and right you can develop a killer body and slight facial paralysis.
I have done very minimal research on this subject but I don’t believe it has ever been said that you can laugh too much.
In all seriousness, I went through quite a difficult experience and one of my favourite things to help me and my emotions was to laugh.
A couple of my favourite techniques for getting some laughter happening in those down times were and still are:
- Put on a great comedy! For me.. I am the furthest thing from a movie critic so any comedy would really do.
- Find a cracker TV show. They exist and can make you split at the seams.
- Facebook videos! The funny side of social media is amazing and I think undervalued.
- MEME'S - It’s 2017, if you don’t know what a meme is, find out. These little beauties were a metaphorical ladder into the hole that I sometimes found myself in.
It may be very lighthearted this happiness hack but this is hands down one of my favourites, it just suits my personality perfectly, it can tend to be a short term hack but it’s a great way to just get out of your head and your thoughts and give you a little bit of joy.
Here is some of the science behind laughter and its positive effects:
- Laughter is a drug by definition, its mind altering due to the chemicals it induces such as dopamine and oxytocin
- Laughter makes you more attractive! I mean, just as a side note, how great does it feel to be found attractive! I’ll take a good old confidence boost anyday!
- Laughter helps with stress reduction by reducing cortisol levels which is a stress causing chemical.
The only tips I can offer regarding laughing and how to go about are:
- Avoid laughing at inappropriate times. - Find what makes you tick. Know how to hit that funny bone and use it. - Laugh like nobody can see you! Don’t give a shit about how loud and how crazy your incredible laugh is. Laugh with all of the joy you can muster to get those happiness gains!
I have to share my fellow RF sister's story with you - the story of a shy introvert battling acne. ⠀
Kristine Cruz-Atienza is a mom of 3, a Neonatal RN, a newborn photographer, and a Level V Achiever with Rodan + Fields:⠀
“With my very BUSY schedule, it wasn’t the business that attracted me… heck, it wasn’t even the products to be quite honest! But what did intrigue me was the 60 day money back guarantee! You see, I had been battling acne for over a decade and after failing with various prescriptions and regimens, I had accepted the fact that acne was just something that I was going to have to live with. But when I knew that I could try R+F’s Unblemish regimen with no risks, I decided to go big and give it a try. ⠀
I bought a consultant kit, but I honestly had reservations about selling. The biggest one was the fact that I was a shy introvert who would rather sit back, listen and observe — definitely not the traits of a ‘salesperson’ right? But what I did know about myself was that I could rave on about matters that I was excited and passionate about. So when Unblemish began clearing up my skin, that’s EXACTLY what happened! ⠀
R+F’s slogan is, ‘life changing skincare’ and I am so PROUD to be a part of that mission-- whether it’s helping people attain confidence by finding solutions to their skin issues, or helping my team achieve success as they build their own business and impact others! All I do is talk about these amazing products and the once in a lifetime business opportunity at hand. And it doesn’t even feel like ‘selling’ because all I’m doing is sharing information! 😉 and what’s more, I’m a part of an AMAZING team of individuals who SUPPORT, MOTIVATE, EMPOWER one another! This company has been an incredible journey for me thus far and has rewarded me in more ways than one! It’s been the best decision I never thought I’d make and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me and my team!!”⠀
Love what this skincare is doing for her confidence and even more, what this business opportunity has given her, her team AND her family!! Go Kristine! ⠀
❤️ message me if you’re intrigued.

💫 I just love this image, it depicts exactly what taking care of ourselves is about.
It's something you do on a daily bases, so you can nurture and grow from within so love pours out of you. Like watering a plant, everyday, to ensure it doesn't die or gets neglected
Self care is so important to the health of our whole wellbeing and mental state of mind. I know i can be super bad with putting aside time for myself to do my "girly" things, gym, meditation and catching with girlfriends. But every time i do these things, i know i feel lighter, calmer, more content and happier.
Today, I just wanted to remind us all to take care of ourselves, to make time to put ourselves first and to feel how amazing it is to be a woman and tap into our goddess feminine energy.
"For things to change you must change" .
So I've put a challenge to myself to:
1. nurture my body and eat more often + have 2 green smoothies a day
2. hit the gym or get active at least 3 times a week
3. spend at least 1 day a week doing my "girly" things and connect with my girlfriends
What will your challenges be to put your self care first so you can feel like a goddess? .

I'm joining the @hellofears challenge, and this 👆🏽 is mine. I told you all about my first speech at Toastmasters last week, and that it didn't go the way I thought it would (still, was an accomplishment). I also said that I recorded it, and I'll show it on my social medias (which will show a lot of my vulnerability) as soon as I achieve my goal and become a public speaker - or at least feel confidence enough to start advertising myself as one. It's going to be my before/after video. And that's how I plan to do this challenge (so funny I got this one! Coincidence? Don't think so...). So that's it, @hellofears ! Once again, thanks for the inspiration! ☺️

I love this picture 💕 Woman (and men) of all different sizes, professions, backgrounds etc. coming together to not only work out 💪🏼 but to support one another on their journey of becoming a better version of themselves while helping others do the same 🙌🏻 .
I've seen a lot of people make negative posts and comments about at home workouts, "that expensive shake" and hating on our tribes via social media 😡 Does it make me angry? Not really. Does it piss me off? Of course. .
What if I told you that these at home workouts, shakes, and being part of a support group... 👑 Allowed a single mom to pay for her daughter's dance class
👑 Allowed a family to pay for her vacation in CASH when it never would have happened
👑 Allowed a young professional to LEAVE her corporate job to Coach FULL TIME
👑 Ended a man's panic attacks 👑 Took a person off their blood pressure, thyroid, and anxiety medication 👑 Gave a person HOPE for once in her life when she felt lost and without support .
REAL QUEENS FIX EACH OTHERS CROWNS
