Almost a third of the year is behind me in this project. Every time I think I can't go on with it anymore, something keeps me going. It's the adventure. It's knowing that when it's over it will feel so good. It's telling myself that I'll be angry at myself if I just give up because it got tough. Ive gotten stronger, I've gotten thicker skin, and I've learned a lot about myself. I've discovered new music, explored places I never would have gone if I didn't get a camera, and I've learned a lot about photography. In everything you do, there's always better. You can always improve, you can always learn something new; you're never the best that you're going to be. Carrying that mentality over to anything that you care about being good at is crucial to your success. Some people say you can only be good at one thing because it requires all of your focus and energy. I've always been someone who's had a lot of interests and I think it's important to be well rounded. I love this planet, I love the sounds that we create in order to express ourselves, and I love sharing it all with everyone who feels the same. Whether it's music that feeds my soul or photography that captures the world through my eyes, I've found that combining both of these art forms into a single project has been a liberating journey for me. My mind has told me to stop. It's told me that I'm just wasting my time because I'll never finish. Mind over matter. Im still here.
