I balked at the idea of writing this in an upcoming post:
I am not a planner.
What if a prospective employer sees that and decided to give me a pass? My mind started going on a defensive mode.
I am not a planner. I have bought plane tickets without planning a route. But I survived those trips and loved every second of it. I’ve taken buses and thought, “Let’s see where this goes.” I have some skills in my back pocket that does not place me in any determined career path. But I do have skills.
But in exchange for not being a planner, I do not shirk from changes. Change of plans? Bring it on! Calamity? Tell me what you need. You got a challenge? Alright… Okay! Need me to learn something new? May I bring Google along? Need me to leave the country right now? Hell yeah!
(I draw a line at violence and corpses.)
I am not largely a planner but I am a few other words in the dictionary.
Am back with another doodle after a few days of rest. Figured it was healthier to listen to my body than to the perfectionist side in me. I'm glad for the rest, the unplanned squiggles came easier x
