This picture is in honor of all the volunteers we had for the @legendsoflebo competition that we had this past Saturday. Thank you to all who helped out and to our entire #community for just being who we are. We represented @crossfitmtlebanon so well, we made lasting impressions on athletes from around our area and none of it would have been possible without the volunteers and judges. Of course I have to say thank you to @coopnicholas his diligent work with @shirleymac on judges and volunteers made that day possible. Of course @owlynsnyder did so much work behind the scenes that not many will notice but I'll never forget how hard he worked and made this one of the best events around. We wouldn't have been able to do it without you buddy 🙌🏻 ! Lastly @kevinbeamon ..... I'm not sure I can put into words how I feel about it his work ethic and dedication to our community, he is tireless in his pursuit for greatness. So many others to thank so Thank you to everyone 😊. It's more than fitness at #cfmtl its family and friends and sharing a part of your life with so many! I knew from the first time I ever dropped in to the gym that I had never been to such a place. So if you have been following me obviously you know I've recently gotten my ass off the couch and back in the gym! I've been trying to get myself back in shape with the help and support of those close to me. Well last night I met a client out in Westlake for a drink and I bump into an old member from when I owned NEO CrossFit. Haven't seen this person for 3+ years and as I am introducing him to my client/friend and as he introducing me to his girlfriend he proceeds to say you look like the person that ate Todd?? He gets a big laugh out of that my client doesn't really know what to think or say. Now if you haven't seen me in 3+ years, yes I've put on weight more than I'm proud of but that's why im killing myself in the gym erryday to get back to where I was. However, what ignorant person says that in front of people he doesn't know? Needless to say I hit the gym extra hard today did a little more cardio and a few extra reps. So FU@@ YOU JK!
Today was a tough training day mentally. Snatches didn't go very well so motivation was low. In turn I skipped out on doing a metcon which usually cheers me up and went to work with my new @hatlex_canada dumbells. This was the first time trying to overhead squat a DB heavier than 50lbs. I can now proudly say that I can snatch and overhead squat the 100lb DB's!
Video 1 & 2: 5 reps @ 90lbs
Video 3&4: 2 reps @ 100lbs

Front Squat 5 Rep PR for the third time This month.
I attribute this to 3 big factors in our program as of late
1) Single Leg Strength Training (Lunges , and split Squats)
2) Front Rack Holds: basically everything feels light now when it's on my shoulders lol (inspired by active life RX) - I only used a belt cause this was a max set .
3) LESS TRAINING: spending way less time destroying myself and thusly much more time recovering
Every one is good at doing more, there's a billion motivational posts about how there's people working when you aren't and they're going to beat you, but there's also lots of scientific studies showing that doing more is often a short term plan with diminishing results that can end in injury.
If you want to train harder than anyone then you need to recover better than anyone.
