Last year I spent some time with one my good friend Ben and his beautiful wife in NYC in November/December. He introduced me to this document that he created to help people process through the last year. I must admit it took me some time to go through it, cause although last year was a very amazing year full of new adventure and travel, learning new skills, and stepping out in complete faith, it was also a year of some losses for me. This document along with books like Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes, and Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear by Elizabeth Gilbert, really helped me move past some of the letdowns and some of my feelings of inadequacy that I had about my creative work, and what kind of environment I thrive in. For a long time I have felt pressured to be a certain kind of singer/songwriter, or in my own career, the pressure to perform at a certain level and if I didn't achieve that level I felt like a failure, or if I did feel I achieved it but got no recognition in it, I felt like it was never good enough. You feel me? Anyway, this document helped me move past a lot the not so great experiences in my relationships that happened last year, and I have said this to some of my close friends, that if I didn't go through that document, I'm not even sure I would be pursuing the things I'm pursuing with music and photography with no pressure to be this certain person, I would certainly not be getting married to an amazing man, and I would still be stuck trying to figure out who I am and what I'm made for. Its called "A Debrief Ritual" by Ben Messner. It's helped me in so many ways I can't even begin to say.

The cover art is photo from a trip I took in North Rim. 4am on the edge of the world listening to the Father speak to me about who I am and who I am not! Once you grab the document let me know. Would love to connect here. You don't need to wait until the end of the year to put pen to paper on this. You can start right now! #journaling#creativeprocess#creativeliving#create#godslove#godsbeauty#love#process#journey

Archilux were delighted to supply the lighting for the St Peters Street Civic Plaza, a high quality public realm model for mixed-use community precincts.
The design by Oxigen Landscape Architects created a modern and dynamic public open space which can be used as a precedent for future development along St Peters Street and elsewhere in the City of Adelaide.
The materials and elements used were chosen for both their high quality and ability to be carried through to future developments within the city. The civic plaza combines St Peters Heritage, best practice water sensitive urban design, cycling and flexible event spaces.
Traditional medicine is steeped in the understanding of the intimate relationship between microcosm and macrocosm and practically applies these concepts to wellness. Tongues Diagnosis is one such example, an ancient art that views the tongue as a mirror of the internal organs of the body. Sensitivities, discoloration, mucous buildup or cracking in a particular region of the tongue can indicate disease or disorder in the corresponding organ. Ayurvedic medicine keepers recommend cleaning the tongue daily, preferably in the morning on an empty stomach with a copper tongue scraper. Scraping the tongue assists in facilitating the body's natural elimination processes and also allows for observation of the tongue's health.
