Good morning from Garden of the Gods...hands down the best city park in the country! It’s @brianlewismedia back for another day taking over @visitcos. My favorite time to visit the Garden is at sunrise when the crowds have yet to arrive and the world is quiet and still. On some lucky mornings, the sky goes cotton candy pink, the rock faces glow with warmth and the first rays of early sun turn the whole scene into a painting.
Thank you to everyone who attended our Community Art Show! It was a wonderful event and every artist sold something!
Huge thanks to @lisadoanephotography for photographing this event and capturing great moments like this one, some of our Ready To Work trainees!
Relationship Goals: Hike 4.5 miles one way with an inflatable raft with bae, climb up a 200 ft waterfall (Timberline Pass), to reach Sky Pond at an elevation of 10,900 feet and float in a 'private' alpine lake filled cirque basin.
Bonus: To the right are the granite spires of The Sharkstooth. The mountain directly across the lake is 13,153-foot Taylor Peak, and towards the south is 13,208-foot Powell Peak.
Happiness makes me Happy
Found this beautiful showy milkweed on my hike last night. I spent nearly three hours on the ridge admiring wildflowers, the varying colors and textures of rocks, the way the setting sun tints the earth as well as the sky, how quickly the air cools once the sun has dipped behind the western slopes. Since leaving my job and home of the last couple months, I have realized that I need to make a return to the uncultivated earth. To slow down and breathe in the magic that moves us, and see where I am to go next.
I was blessed with the presence of these little cuties hanging out in the backyard! At first I was pretty worried when I didn't see their mom around but luckily after a few hours they were reacquainted back to living happily in the sewer!
I just bought the @sonyalpha a6500 and 55mm f1.8 prime.... WOW. I saw these colors start to pop on the @wellsfargo #CashRegisterBuilding last night and longboarded to the top of a parking garage near my house. This is the first timelapse I shot with the system and it's jaw dropping how sharp each frame is. This one is a keeper.
John: Seeing my mom and my dad cook, you just fall in love with how they do it and you just mimic what they are doing. My mom never cooked from a recipe and everything she creates is amazing. And watching my mom cook, I just asked her simple questions like, “What did you put in that and what did you put there?” And she would just tell me, “just a pinch of this and a dash of that” and she was just like a guide for us.
Amber: You probably never even realized that you were learning the different elements of food with salty, sweet, and sour and how to combine those things and make them taste good. You just loved her food and wanted to know how she did it.

I'd rather the roads be paved with wildflowers than in gold, tbh.
I'd probably be in better shape if I wasn't so easily distracted by flowers during my morning run. Oh well, they don't sing songs about small asses anyways, so let a girl jiggle if she wants to.
