Repost from @christiansunitedforisrael using @RepostRegramApp - Dietrich Bonhoeffer was the embodiment of what it meant to live ones #faith by #works and not just words. For his bold stand against Hitler and assisting #Jews escaping the #Nazis he would eventually be executed by the SS. But he has left us much #wisdom and #inspiration in his #words , and they are relevant today as they were then. Will we be #bold in creating a better #world , a world where #truth prevails or will we remain silent and allow our #children to inherit a world more #dangerous and full of falsehood. Make a choice, that our #future generations will be #blessed by!
Meadow painting on canvas by the 5 year old sprout completed today. We did this in 3 stages.
First she used a variety of green paint shades and cardboard as a tool to paint the grass.
Once dry she used fingers and thumbs to paint in the meadow flowers and added a sprinkle of glitter.
Lastly she used oil pastels to add some details and painted the middles to some flowers.
Such a beautiful piece, this is such a lovely activity which allows the children to be very free and creative exploring paint with their hands and any tools they choose.
Great fun and worthy of pride of place on any wall :) #nannylife#nanny#artyfarty#art#fingerpaint#paint#flowers#meadow#spring#children#toddler#art#activities

Spring science experiments with the sprouts this afternoon. Given the wonderfully diverse British springtime weather we have been talking lots about the forces at play in the clouds above. This experiment is one I've done many a time is always great fun and fantastic as a tactile aid for talk about gravity and density.
We took a very large mason jar filled it 2/3 full with water. We then added a layer of shaving foam (careful to buy foam not gel) to the top. We used pippettes or for ease the little calpol syringes are just as good (clean and sterilised of course) to add food colouring mixed with water to the shaving foam clouds. As the clouds become full the heavier water "falls" from the clouds making lovely swirls as it mixes with the clear liquid below.
After the liquid was blue we changed this to a colour mix experiment adding red and yellow food colouring mixed with water creating a lovely layering effect.
To complete our talk about density I had the sprouts predict the results of adding oil, or ice to the mix. They watched In awe awe the layers of water, food colouring, oil, ice and even a few building blocks seperated In the jar.
Such a fun experiment and keeping it to one jar keeps cleaning up afterwards to a minimum. (If you like a bit of messy play the foam is great fun to put on one hand and clap for an out door shaving foam snow fight)
The sprouts are already planning our next experiment :) #nannylife#nanny#londonnanny#scienceforkids#experiment#density#masonjar#toddler#kids#children#activities
