Despacito...this is how we do it in Toronto..today I ticked something else off my bucket list. I DROVE A TRUCK. From Scarborough to Richmond Hill to Brampton to Markham. It was nerve racking at first and I momentarily thought of calling up a lawyer to write my will before getting on the road and I refused to leave the Enterprise parking lot as soon as I saw it didn't even sit within the allocated parking lines and then almost choked when I saw there was no rear view mirror (duh Subi of course there wouldn't be when you got no windows at the back to see through), but then coached myself to work my way to the highway, and eventually was comfortable enough to drive with my one-hand as usual. Huge respect to all the truck drivers.
Just when I thought that was the highlight of the day, I got to one of the properties and accidentally dropped my keys down the elevator shaft. SWIPE left for instructions as to how to unsuccessfully fetch a key. Needless to say, it was one of the longest days of my life de staging four homes in two days, but finally made it through with the help of @kyrelldjswift who drove across cities to get the spare keys. #ishouldstillwritethatwill#keysstillhidingundertheshaft#butterfingers#iamanidiot#notgoingnearanelevatoragain#goingtotakethestairs#withmyfitbiton#trucks#bucketlist#idiot
Taylor was out of breath at the clinic today. 😅 By the time we got there this afternoon, the power was out and we had to take the stairs up to the office! We were there for his weekly labs and our awesome clinic staff worked quickly, despite the heat, to keep him cool. Thankfully the lights came back on right when his blood was taken. His ANC dropped back to zero, but his platelets have stayed steady. He may need a blood transfusion next week, but we'll go back for another check on Monday. He was excited to spend time with our first friends in this cancer journey, Mary (@warriorstrongmomma), Anthony & @Kassidy_Owen, Cooper's sweet Mom, Dad, and sister. All of Team Hammond had a wonderful afternoon swimming and reminiscing on days past and planning the days to come. We are so grateful for the love we've shared over the years. Please keep praying for our boy. He's happy and fighting to love each day. Thank you for your prayers and support. 💛🎗💛 #LordPleaseHealTaylor#leukemia#cancer#childhoodcancerawareness#childhoodcancer#FightOn#FindACure#NEGU#NeverEverGiveUp#GodBlessYou#TeamHammond#LinkInBio#116#Unashamed#Grateful#Thankful#LifeList#BucketList#Terminal#ButGod#TeamCoop
