what are you currently reading?
I haven't been reading at all this week, and I don't think I'll have time to until (maybe) the weekend 😭
I've been so busy with school, tests/assignments/homework ughhhhhhh.
I have an English test tomorrow but I've been studying for my chemistry test that's on Friday oops. I kind of prioritize science more since I can't exactly study the first part of the book we're reading and taking a test on... I read the first part and did the corresponding questions so I guess that's my studying 😂
Anyways, I'm so glad it's already going to be Thursday tomorrow! This week has been pretty busy and exhausting so I'm looking forward to a bit of a break. The week is going by quick which usually makes me happy yayayayay
OKAY LONG CAPTION SORRY, I hope you all have a great rest of your week!😅💗
Paperbacks are here! I'm signing and sending them out tomorrow! Thank you so much everyone who preordered Everything I Always Wanted! If you haven't ordered get yours now! Who wants one? All my small business supporters and avid readers what's good? Snag one of these books fam! 😍💋💥
Anyone else like listening to music while they read? I think I just enjoy having some background noise 😅I was listening to Pandora for a while, but they have so many commercials now, it's more distracting than relaxing 😒

This book is amazing and the cover is just gorgeous😍
I noticed today that there was no butterfly emoji like how?! Or am I just too blind to find it? That's plausible. It's been a weird day.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Wednesday 😙
HI THERE BOOKSTAGRAM. It's been a looooooong week! I knew it was going to be a rough couple of days, but it seems I still underestimated how busy it would be! Right now, I'm drowning in chemistry homework (which is one of the least fun things to drown in) but I am extremely motivated by knowing that this is The Last Thing. As soon as I finished my assignments, I will be DONE. (At least for a little bit before finals 😳😳😆) So that prospect makes me really happy and desperate for it all to be over at the same time 😂 ALSO don't underestimate the power of a good night's sleep! 👍 Wow sorry this post is so incoherent! Anyways, hope you all are having a wonderful week!
Tell me! What's something that you are looking forward to? 😊
I heard about what happened in London... I really just want this account to be bookstagram and random rants, but these events make me anxious. I really feel like there's a big change happening, especially in the parts of Europe that is closer to me, and even if Norway had their warning, I don't think we've done much to improve our security. I keep thinking, if anything happened to any of you, maybe I'd never even know... But that's enough depressing thoughts for today!

All my tags are messed up and idk what I've done, lol!😆 So if I forget to tag you/tag the wrong person, that's 100% my bad and don't be afraid to tell me!
Good evening, darlings! I'm on Spring break this week (🎉) and on Monday I made pasta in the middle of the afternoon. 😂 I finished The Bad Begining (the first book in A Series of Unfortunate Events) today and I really liked it. I started watching the show on Netflix last week, but then I decided I wanted to read each book before watching the correlating episodes.
Anne of Green Gables is one of the books I still need to get to but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate this bookmark by @lexyolivia right?! 😍 I love watercolour bookmarks and hers are some of the best I've seen. I got this from February's @thebookishbox and I can't wait to get this month's goodies soon!
On another note I feel like I'm in a semi-slump. I like the books I'm reading but I can't seem to get far with them! Do you ever experience that?

So I've had a week to gather my feelings since reading King's Cage........ Ifndodmfodmsjslekckodm !!!!!!!
This is the best one yet! All the angst Mare had in the last book was finally dealt with. You see her break and realize all the wrongs she did in the previous novel. You get to see Maven without his mother but the boy is too far lost. And Cal..... Oh freaking Cal. You're no better than Maven sometimes.
One of the extra POVs was Cameron, who at first annoyed me but that slowly changed and I felt for her situation. Then there's Evangeline who I freaking loved! Who knew after hating her I would learn to love her perspective! RQ4 is probably going to hurt like hell when it's released a year from now.
Everyone is literally trapped in a King's Cage. 👑💙
One of my reads this month was The Fall Of Lisa Bellow by Susan Perabo. It was my first book by Perabo so I was going in blind!
Meredith Oliver is in her local sand which shop buying a soda, face to face with popular mean girl, Lisa Bellow. When a masked gunman comes in and orders the girls to the floor, Meredith is sure she's going to die but is surprised when he orders Lisa out and leaves Meredith behind.
The story follows Meredith and her mother Claire as they go about there lives dealing with the aftermath of the assault, the search for Lisa and the knowledge that Meredith is safe but not exactly present. And Lisa, only Meredith can shed a light on what's happening.
I honestly have no idea how I feel about this book. The writing style is fine and I didn't mind the alternate points of view. The issues I have are with the plot.
I went into the book thinking is was going to be a gripping thriller like it promised. It isn't. THE FALL OF LISA BELLOW is a slow burn. It didn't have any of the tension that I love in a thriller. While the story gripped me at first I found myself lacking interest and slightly confused about things that were happening in Meredith's POV. But I was intrigued to continue.
What I loved was Claire, Meredith's mother. She has a fire in her that as a mother I can understand. I understood her elation when she realized her child was fine and I understood her guilt. I also loved that she had an edge to her that made her the most interesting character in the book.
Overall, I didn't love it but I didn't hate it. A ⭐️⭐️/⭐️⭐️⭐️ read for me. I really can't decide.
The Fall Of Lisa Bellow is out now. Pick it up if you like it might be your style!
Today's #marchbookstagram challenge is a series I'm not going to finish... Unfortunately, I don't keep books I don't like (especially if there are multiple volumes), so I can make space for more books that I do like. That being said, I'm altering today's challenge to be a series I enjoy but haven't finished yet - The Queen of the Tearling 👍🏼 .
In case you're wondering, a series that I absolutely did not like and will never finish is Tatiana & Alexander (The Bronze Horseman). Despite it being historical fiction, which I usually like, that book was terrible with horribly dependent and toxic relationships and infuriatingly self-centered characters. My copy has been sold to a used bookshop and I won't be wasting my money or time on the remaining books. #marchbookchallenge
Never get too attached to anyone unless they also feel the same towards you, because one sided expectations can mentally destroy you.
Good Morning everyone. 😊 hope y'all having a good day. 💕
#spellyournamewithbooks @whatsername_reads thanks for the tag. 😊😊💜 D- Dorothy must die.

“It's strange how many ways there are to miss someone. You miss the things they did and who they were, but you also miss who you were to them. The way everything you said and did was beautiful or entertaining or important. How much you mattered.” ― Robin Roe, A List of Cages
I love an amazing, heavy, serious, heart-wrenching contemporary. I love even more when that contemporary touches on foster care and abuse with the weight that those topics deserve, but then makes friendship and hope shine through all the dark places. 5/5 ❤s! This book belongs up there with The Serpent King and Phantom Limbs as one of my favorite contemporaries I’ve read in the past year. And all three of them were debut authors! -
What’s the most recent debut author that you’ve read and loved? ⭐️
Great read - Marlantes sheds light on the emotional and mental battle our soldiers combat. #mentalhealthmatters
In the midst of anxiety and stress, I find myself reading to escape the chaos at times. Remember to take care of your mental health, it matters. #booklove#anxietyrelief
