“It was exciting to see the kids returning home with smiles on their faces eager to unpack the kit!…Our afternoon was a distribution of 300 bedkits. Before we returned home we visited one of the villages of recipients of today's distribution.”- Team Philippines 2017 #dogood#bedkit#bethechange#sleepingchildrenaroundtheworld

Who doesn't love a little quiet time in the morning?
I love reading but once I started University, I never seemed to have the "time" or to be really in the mood to read anything. I mean, who wants to pick up ANOTHER book for PLEASURE after all those textbooks, am I right?! Once I started working full-time, it's something I started picking up again slowly because I couldn't shut my brain off and sleep, anxiety was an all-time high. I found the love and joy in it again.
As a coach, that love of reading is actually encouraged! You see, just as we continue to improve our physical selves, we must also grow our mental selves.
Read, workout, help others and grow as a person? Yeah, I'm down for that! 😁

People should be told what they're doing right instead of what they're doing wrong. It creates positive reinforcement that can lead to many more kind acts or further betterment of themselves & surrounding environment. If told what they do wrong more than what they do right, it lends palpable negative energy. It creates a stagnant mindset where nothing gets accomplished except more negativity. Simply: positivity feeds positivity & negativity feeds negativity. If we want the world to change for the better we have to lead my example. We can't point fingers at others & blame them; we have to show them in positive ways how the world can become a better place by our own progressive acts instead of making them feel as if they're the very reason many people still eat animals, cause their suffering & pollute our environment. It doesn't work. It causes the opposite of self empowerment & compassion. It causes stasis instead of change. Highlight the good in someone & you'll see more of the same & hopefully future growth. But if you point out the bad & set blame people get overly defensive & close the doors in their minds to anything good that can help open them up to change. Knowledge is there to be spread without making people feel bad about themselves. #bethechange

I am LOVING the new personal development book I'm reading (listening to). It was written by Dale Carnegie a LONG time ago and is titled, "How To Win Friends And Influence People." 📖
I love that one of the vital behaviors of our business is reading, or listening to, 10-20 minutes of personal development each day. It is just as important, more important in my opinion, than reaching out, recognizing, and being proof our products work. Those things are important of course, vital if you will, but the mindset preparation we get to face each day as moms, wives and business owners after doing personal development is INVALUABLE! ❤
What are you reading right now? 👩🏫 #bookworm#howtowinfriendsandinfluencepeople#dalecarnegie#dontcriticize#dontcondemn#dontcomplain#beunderstanding#forgive

I've never been the "let's make my life look perfect on Instagram" type, so here's my emotionally naked post for #MentalHealthMonday (yesterday). •
I broke yesterday. I prayed so hard right after I woke up that I would be able to do it all...but I said a total of 3 words to the only adult I saw before my husband got home from work. I yelled at my 2 year old because I feel like he breaks my spirit every single day. Contrary to my therapist's advice, I let my brain tell myself I was a failure when my baby wouldn't nap. AGAIN. I ate my angry, depressed, overwhelmed emotions away with custard behind a shut bathroom door that smells like a toddler potty training, with two boys screaming on the other side, and my body propped up against it as replacement for a deadbolt. I didn't get laundry even close to finished, and hand-washing the 5-sinks-full of dishes every day is wearing on me. •
I broke down and questioned my whole life after the kids were in bed, and was unfair and angry at my husband for actually having a life and feeling successful at what he does. I was sick of him going to school every night. Sick of poop under my fingernails and food being thrown at my face. Sick of cleaning up the same mess 57 times in 2 hours. Sick of no car, and sick of being trapped inside my own head. •
So tired of the whining and the screaming when I try to encourage my two year old to play with his toys instead of following me around and begging for a movie all. day. long.
I was exausted from suppressing the urge to snap. Never knowing when or how I'm going to snap. •
I haven't given a name to my mental illness on Instagram yet, but it's real, and sometimes it's debilitating and I feel completely defeated as a Mother and as a human being. But I'm still climbing. Maybe I'll just try and hang on today, and focus on being grateful for all that I have. ❤ •
"Are you an Indigo Child?🌎❤🦋 Indigo Children are an upgraded blueprint of humanity. The term Indigo Child first came up when addressing the aura colors of these very different kids. Which is predominantly royal blue which established a change of course for humanity.
Gifted souls, on a clear mission to challenge and shift reality, they first began appearing in the 1970’s. Beyond psychic awareness, they are highly driven and creative with a perception that sees through the established norms of society. Old souls indeed, their mission is clearly laid out to shake up the modern world and pave the way for future generations to create greater peace and harmony for all.
Born with an innate sense of justice and generosity, these children FEEL ENTITLED -
They were born being special and they know it."
Only a few years ago my parents came across an article describing indigo children and both of them looked at each other and "ooohhhh.... that's that then"... she forwarded me the article and said that that explained it all. My mom used to say that a simple trip to the supermarket which was supposed to take 5 minutes, with me would take 30 because I'd stop to pet every animal (including chasing birds to try and cuddle them as well😁) I've came across. Christmas was sad for me as a young child because I would hold my mom and cry because of the poor kids who didn't have food let alone Christmas presents. First year of school I came back home hungry devouring food, then mom found out I was giving my food to one of my school friends who didn't have any. And so on. I'd say it's not easy to be this way but after trying to fight it I've decided to embrace who I am. I feel more, therefore, suffer more than others, naturally. Then I've discoverd veganism. Only then I've found myself completely and understood my purpose in this world.✌️❤
Knowing that I hold the power to be whatever my heart desires is enough for me to keep pushing even on the days I feel like I'm going to burst at the seams.
We tend to overlook what we should be grateful for each and every day.
We will always be evolving as humans if we continue to learn and grow.
You want it, work for it.
Wether that be for a promotion you've been wanting.
Finding yourself after so many years of being lost.
Fitting into some old jeans because you know it will bring joy.
Learn Spanish? So you can teach your kids.
Keep moving forward. The only time to look back is to see how far you've come. ⚡️👊🏽
We love our Zambian staff family (and our new staff uniforms 🙌🏾)! We currently have 9 men and women staffing our 3 locations. Our HOPE Club donations not only support our students, but also the amazing people that keep our programs running. We can’t do it without them, we can’t do it without YOU 💝ClothedinHope.org/hopeclub
Our WHY! Studies like this make us even more excited to take students abroad: "97 percent of respondents said that studying abroad served as a catalyst for increased maturity, 96 percent reported increased self-confidence, 89 percent said that it enabled them to tolerate ambiguity, and 95 percent stated that it has had a lasting impact on their world view. When questioned about intercultural development, 98 percent of respondents said that study abroad helped them to better understand their own cultural values and biases, and 82 percent replied that study abroad contributed to their developing a more sophisticated way of looking at the world."

PALM OIL plantations are linked to major issues such as deforestation, habitat degradation, climate change, animal cruelty and indigenous rights abuses in the countries where these products are produced, as the land and forests must be cleared for the development of the plantations.
An area the equivalent size of 300 football fields of rainforest is cleared each hour to make way for palm oil production. This large-scale deforestation is pushing many species to extinction, and if nothing changes, species like the orangutan could become extinct in the wild within the next 10 years, and Sumatran tigers in less than 3 years.
80- 90% of orangutan habitat has been destroyed in the last 20 years, and as such, is considered “a conservation emergency” by the UN; an estimated 1000-5000 are killed each year for this development. The orangutan is a keystone species and plays a vital role in maintaining the health of the ecosystem.
The negative environmental and animal implications of palm oil are absolutely devastating.
Save the 🌲🐒🐯🐘.
Read labels on processed food or better yet, avoid it altogether. Boycott PALM OIL 🚫🌴.
